Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

I have been working with Silvia at the Beach resort and I have a few concerns....

1. We have repeatedly told her that we are getting legally married in the US before coming to Jamaica. She has yet to confirm this change and keeps sending us the reminders to send her the info to get a marriage license. I really need to know what she needs from us to do the Blessing of Vows Ceremony.

2. She sent me two emails telling me to see the attached documents, but in fact no documents were attached. I have asked her numerous times to re-send.

3. I can never seem to get anyone on the phone.

Can anyone shed some light on how she operates?? My wedding isn't until next June, I am just concerned I am going to miss something that is important to my big day!!!

***Also, what travel agents have you guys used to book your guest packages?

Hey ladies...just wondering what everyone's doing regarding ceremony music? We're having a very small wedding, no bridal party even. At first I was thinking about getting the steel drum band to play while people are being seated, my walk down the aisle and then after/during the signing. I wanted that island feel I guess. Now that I'm listening to the beautiful, traditional wedding songs (Pachelbel, Bach, etc.), I'm really loving them.

Can anyone comment on using just the CD? Quality, tips, thoughts, comments, etc. Much appreciated!! cheesy.gif

We selected songs we liked to walk down the aisle to and exit to.  My hubby put some jazz in the middle to play during the signing and as we did our toast on the beach and picture taking.  Worked great!

Hi everyone... A few days ago there was also some posts about paying a vendor fee and day pass for outside vendors. I'm getting married at the Suites and I emailed the coordinator to confirm since I already put a deposit down on an outside photographer.

I was told that I'd have to pay a $100 vendor fee for each person coming onto the property and that's it... there would not be a day pass fee in addition to the vendor fee. I also asked about bringing in an outside florist and was told as long as I pay the vendor fee, no problem.

Not sure if it's different at the Beach...

It seems like there are a lot of mixed messages from the coordinators.

With regards to response times, it takes about 2 weeks to hear back about anything.

That's really weird.  She's e-mailed me back 2 times within the past 24 hours.   Hope I don't start to strike out and hope you guys start getting answers.

I just wanted to let you know that I've been working with a fabulous florist/wedding planner.  The prices have been totally reasonable and the service has been great. I'm having my wedding off-site and the reception at the Suites so she's providing me the centerpieces, a wishing tree (in lieu of a guest book), and services for the offsite ceremony.

Message me if you want her info.

This a great to hear. However, I thought the vendor fee was $75 and the day pass is $100? Did the vendor fee go up I wonder?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
