What's the special? Who did you contact about it?

I would definitely check with the resort. We had planned on doing this for our wedding (off-site) next year but were told that due to high winds and unpredictable weather permits to release sky lanterns have been revoked until further notice.

It is on Iberostar's website when you do a mock booking.  I just called my TA and made sure they are honoring and beating the rate for our guests.

We should have our first guests booking this week.  The wedding is still so far away, but people booking will help to pass the time!

What rates did you get? I got a rate of $220 per night per person for our June 2012 wedding.

Hi bmaxam12,

I am getting married at IRHB in February, and we are releasing the lanterns. I had called the resort and confirmed that they do not have a problem with it.. ( i called before i ordered the lanterns, just to be sure) :) so mine are all ordered and they look awesome! I can't wait to release them!!

I am going with the resort photographer.. Digipix.. i actually emailed them directly with some questions, and asked them to provide me some more samples like a portfolio so i could see more of their work, as the website doesn't give alot.. so they actually sent me a link to pictures that they took at IBRHB, so i could see the setting and exactly would they would look like for me.. and i like their work.. and they are affordable.. so i am comfortable with going with them for sure! :)

Hope that helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
