I ordered from efavormart.com too! The prices are crazy good! I ordered the organza table runners and silk fans. I'm going with the resort silver chair sashes though, I don't want to be bringing too much stuff down there

I just wanted to let you know I just got back from my wedding/honeymoon/vacay at IBRB.  Everything turned out great!  I will post pics and a review soon. Just wanted to let you all know I didn't do much communication with the resort, but I did bring a lot of my decor and everything was perfect!  If you have any questions you need an answer to right away, it's best to email me: brandyshaunta@yahoo.com.  Until then, happy planning....pics soon to comesmile36.gif

Nicole told me we could sign the contract now or sign it when we get down there.  We have not signed it and we confirmed 2+ months ago.  Guess I better follow up on this again and double check.

I thought I would pass along that Iberostar is offering an early booking special right now.  I know that we were able to take advantage for our wedding next July.  I don't know when the special is good for or when your travel dates need to be...  ok, so maybe not the most helpful.  But something to look into if you are a 2012 bride to see if you qualify.  A little more money back into the budget to go towards something else... woot2.gif

So I talked with eholt about this, because I really wanted to get started on my bags.  At first I was thinking about mailing the OOT to the guest with their pre travel brochures so I wouldn't have to worry about bringing so much stuff down.  But then I started to think about it and what if I send it to guest that have RSVPs but still haven't booked.

Eholt recommended to only make enough for the people that have booked, so you may have to wait closer to your departure date to get them together.

A lot of my family haven't even returned the RSVP cards let alone booked their rooms.  So the OOT are on hold for right now...really that is the only thing left I have to do...so not bad.

I don't know if I would put on the website that if they don't RSVP by a certain date they won't get a bag...but maybe that will motivate people.  But you would still have the people who RSVPd but haven't booked so you are back in the same boat again.

With the OOT bags, I personally did a couple extra just in case a few people booked at the last minute. I am 12 days away from leaving and there are still a couple of people up in the air about whether they are going because of job related stuff. We have also had 3 people cancel due to work and family emergencies.

Yes, for OOT bags,  say buy extra and you will have your grounds covered.  I still have stuff left and am slowing but surely giving out to family who couldn't make it or about to sell my extra mugs.

Not sure about putting the "warning" on the site.  1) the bag isn't a good bargaining tool when compared to a $1,000+ trip and 2) they are at least contemplating coming for you and it would be rude to not have then something even if they came last minute.  Let's face it...people are bad at RSVPing.  Although its your wedding, you have to keep in mind that you and your fiance are hosts as well.  I was anxious to get my bags out of the way as well but it all worked out in the end.

Maybe you can decide on what you want, where you will get them, and plan out how to pack and ship them, to me that seems like more work. Than watch and wait. I am not even worried about OOT stuff until later. Besides, things change and you may see a good deal later or change your mind on what you want to give.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
