If someone has a list of the prices needed when planning a wedding at Iberostar, please post it! This is such a confusing process trying to get information from another country. lol. I guess I will just have to have patience.

Jamaica2012,

We read poor reviews on the resort photgrapher, but some brides choose them for a cheaper route and rate them ok. No great reviews, but very bad either. When you start to see the work of other photographers and compare to the route of Digipix, you will see the difference. For my wedding photography was almost number one over everything else. I like camera effects and nice photojounalistic pictures, not the plain ordinary forced posed pictures. Hope that helps

I was totally stressing out until just recently when I decided to not do that anymore! If they can't come, they can't come! If they don't like something....too bad! Someone mentioned earlier that the people who are meant to be there, will be there and I keep reminding myself that all the time!

Thanks to all the WIVES, for all the calming and inspirational advise!

Thanks. I decided to not mention an alternative route, but I did decide to mention the day fee route in case someone chooses to go elsewhere as well as the IRHB fee...Time is moving...I feel behind on the invitations...wedding November. They take time to receive so that is my main focus, but my mind is everywhere (dress alterations, invites, decorations, programs, entertainment, etc.)

Bottom line, I would not mention an alternate on the STD's.  I would prefer to have personal convos with those it may affect and have my TA is the loop on what your intentions are.

Eholt,

If you choose another florist vendor that drops all your decorations will you have to pay a vendor fee? I understand for Rashel you did not, does the same apply to outside florists? I hear good things of TaiFlora, but they just are very inconsistent in replying at times.

HELP!

hi ladies, I really really need help with input regarding the meal options if you choose a private reception. It will most likely be at Aunt Ruby's, but my understanding is you dont "have" to  choose the options they give for the dinner? That you can interchange with other options (that are in the information packet) ? Does anyone have any sort of information on this? I'm planning on calling Nicole but odds are I won't be able to reach her. I want to order my invites this weekend, so am hoping ot have some idea as to what the meal options are.

Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!

I was told by Nicole that if someone was dropping off, no vendor fee would be charged.

So I feel like I have gotten a lot accomplished recently so I feel less stressed out. I have officially decided on a resort/date/ordered my SD and purchased my dress. So I feel pretty good with where I'm at.  I was just wondering when I should start deciding on a photographer and what should be on my next to do list....? I should probably decide on photography since these photographers are available for all of Jamaica not just our resort :-)

Any previous brides use Digipix? Have any pics to share? Or comments about their service?

Is there a good/approprate checklist that any of you brides found?

Thanks in advance :-)

It think that people leaned towards the other vendors based on poor ratings for Digipix, trouble finding pics of their previous work and the fact that the pics included with the package are very limited and they still charge an arm and a leg for additional shots.  Once you do some research, you find that there are reputable photographers who can get the job done for reasonable prices and quality work.

Based on Aug. 2011 prices, my TA prices ranged from $150-200/person/night. Let me know if you need her info. I need to find my price list from my emails, but I've seen in on this forum though.  If you send me a private message it will remind me tomorrow to search for it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
