Hi girls... I noticed some talk about florists... Now that I've booked a photographer (Misha Earle! So excited), the next thing I'm going to look at is florists. Any suggestions on a good one with reasonable prices would be a great help!

I also went with SunGold but booked their associates which are much cheaper.  The pictures on their website look great (wpajamaica.com), and with some packages you get 2 associates.  I figure, if they have the backing of Paula and Damien, they are good enough for us!!

Eholt,

I'm cracking up over your comment about your guests looking like Wii characters. That's hilarious and I totally know what you are talking about. I've been married before and I don't remember the walk down the aisle at all or who was in the audience.

LOL!  For all I know, they could have plaid a Mickey Mouse or Barney song!  Lol!

Oh and you give your CD to Nicole and she gives it to the DJ.  Just have a note of what to play when.  We had a CD with like 12 songs.  Song #1 was to walk out to.  Song #12 was to walk out to.  Jazz in the middle to play for signing of documents, during champagne toast and while we took pics.

Yes. I was. Tai Flora was too expensive. I got 1 Bridal Bouquet, 2 sprays for the Huppa (that were used again for 2 more center pieces at dinner), 5 center pieces for dinner, & 8 bouts all for $550. It was such an amazing deal compared to TF. The flowers were beautiful!!!

Why did you chose floral fantasies? Were you frustrated with Tai Flora like everyone else? Was there a vendor fee? Do you have their contact information?

It's official!  My date is confirmed!  May 28th, 2012!  I will be a Memorial Day bride.  You ladies are giving me so many ideas just from lurking and I look forward to hearing about everything and getting advice from you all as I plan!  Let that begin... What's everybody's take on invitations?  Did you order or make them?  I have some STD samples coming from Wedding Paper Divas but didn't know if there was anything else out there.

How did it work out with the resort? I read the contract and it says you have to go with Tai flora, did you speak to iberostar about using another flower place?  I have read so many bad things about tai flora on this i'm leaning towards using another company myself but am not sure whether to tell Iberostar or not?

welcome.gif (Awww I just love these little smileys!!)  I sent out Save the dates with wedding and resort info on the back in paragraph form. It's all family coming to mine, so I'm skipping the formal invitations....unless I get very ambitious!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
