I am bringing my photographer for the wedding, but for my TTD I hired Misha Earle.  I loved her TTD pictures on Facebook, and she answered my email before Marcia Roberts.

I think I have my photographer narrowed down to Marcia Roberts and Misha Earle.  Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions that will sway me either way?!

Any imput would be appreciated

I am having my TTD session on day 2 of my honeymoon.  I am getting married on a sunday, and didn't want to have to worry about waking up early and primping all over again for the TTD session the next day.  My honeymoon is at the Moon Dance Cliffs, but I wanted more beach shots, Misha Earle said she knew a few in Negril that we could go to.  I read a lot of people went to (something) Falls for their TTD, but again..I really love the beach shots.

I am bringing a photographer and videographer with me, so they won't be able to suggest places to go.

I am leaving tomorrow morning for our wedding at the Suites on Sunday!

I really wish I could have been on BDW more, but my darn worked blocked it! haha. You all have been so helpful and I promise to write a review when I get back. I am using Marcia Roberts Photography and Floral Fantasy for flowers. Haven't really heard much from Nicole, but I have my plan, so hopefully it all goes well!  :)

Hi Natalie,

We decided to move to the Beach because it looks like most of our guests will be staying at the Beach (simply because it's cheaper).  Originally we were going to pay the $30 day pass fee for people staying at the Beach (they need to pay that in order to go over to the Suites for the wedding day), but when it started to look like most people will be at the Beach, we figured it won't be worth it.  There are very few differences in terms of the wedding itself - the only one that really affects us is the fact that at the Beach you need min. 40 people to rent out a restaurant for the private ceremony.  At the Suites, some of the restaurants have a lower number requirement.  Other than that, I didn't see any major differences in the wedding plans or prices.  Hope this helped.

The open bar costs $7/person/hour for domestic drinks, and $10 for international. I know it doesn't make sense, but it is what it is.

Hi Starryism! Thanks very much for your reply :) I may need to move it to the beach as well because of costs... Am still waiting for quotes from our TA. Thanks!!

I hired Misha Earle to do my wedding photos and ttd session the following day and she was amazing to work with. All of our guests loved her and can't wait to see her pics which should be ready in the next couple of weeks. Misha is professional and fun to work with I highly recommend her.

I booked in Feb 2011, and I wanted a date in the fall and there were only 4 weekend dates left between July and October, most of them were on Sundays.  So I picked a Sunday...:)  With the 3 night minimum stay it really was going to be the same travel dates for my guest.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
