Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

I'm going through the same frustrations!! They are horrible to get back to and sooooo expensive!  The flowers included in the package are cheap looking and not worth it!  I'm going to have them supply my arch and other items, but for my bouquet, I'm going to do my own thing.  Outside florists for a really nice bouquet are like $40 compared to $200!

Well, I know that the agreement says to use Tai Flora, but I see so many brides using outside flower shops, so I figure it's not a strict rule.  It wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me, so there's no point arguing about it.  I'll deal with it in a few months, once we have the bridesmaid dresses and I'm ready to choose flowers.  At this point, I don't even know who my bridesmaids will be, so I have bigger things to worry about. lol

I never received anything to sign from Nicole at the Suites.  Which reminds me, I need to email her to cancel my date.  So if anyone wants Nov 16, it will be available :)

Wow, I was totally wrong.  Nicole did send me the agreement when she confirmed the date, and said that I didn't need to sign it.  I can't believe I missed that email altogether!  The text is pretty much the same as for the Beach, one of the few differences is for the flowers, and it's not even up to date with Tai Flora.

  • FLOWER SHOP: the hotel works with an outside flower shop called “Flowerstudioâ€. All flowers services should be hired through this flower shop.
  • If the couple will choose to use another vendor, a vendor fee will apply. The current fee is $100 per person

I think it's also important to note that the agreement doesn't really lock you in to anything - you can still cancel without any penalty, unless you've sent in all your legal paperwork, in which case they charge you $100.

...that is why I decided not to do bridesmaids....I didn't want to bother with the extra headache...but this is my second wedding..for my first wedding.. I had friends that were mad they weren't chosen, fights over the dress, color, etc...I did not want to go through that again.

btw, what's holding you back from choosing your bridesmaids?

Oh, we just don't know who's coming yet!  My first maid of honour got preganant unexpectedly, and she's due one week after our wedding, so she can't come.  Other girls - one is doing IVF, trying to get pregnant, won't be able to come if she does.  Other one's father just passed away.  It's been one thing after another.

Wow, it sounds like babies are preventing you from deciding on who's in the wedding. But babies are fun too though. Gd luck figuring it all out :-)

Yeah I have been able to decide on my bridesmaids but it was hard bc I didn't want to hurt anyone's feeling. Thankfully they all took it well....atleast as far as I know ;-) But my FI only has a best man so far.  This is because his best man is the only one he for sure knows will be able to come, the others its kind of a wait and see who actually books! I hope my ladies don't fight about the dress or anything like that! I know they don't love fushia but its not about them...its about what colors I like :-)

It will always show rain everyday! lol but I was there April 17-May 2nd and it was sun the whole time except rain one afternoon. It usually rains over night and sometimes in the late afternoon for about 30 mins max.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
