Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Jenni,

Wherever YOU are staying is where your wedding will be. If you are at the Suites, any guests that are at the Beach will have to pay a $30 pp day pass to come to the wedding (or sometimes brides pay it for their guests). If you stay at the Beach and have your wedding there, any guests staying at the Suites can come without charge.

My guests are staying 6 nights at the Suites and the consensus per person has been about $1400-1500 with airfare taking up about $400-500 of that number.

Thanks for the info. I too want my guests cost to be as minimal as possible. If you don't mind me asking how much are your guests paying and how long are they staying? I was wanting my guests to not have to pay more than $1000 for a 4 night vacation in Jamaica. So if my FI and I stay at the Suites then we would be having a Suites wedding? And if we stayed at the Beach resort then it would be called the Iberostar Beach wedding? What if we stay at the Suites but most of our guests stay at the Beach, would we have to have a "Beach" wedding in order for our guests to attend? Sorry so many questions but I'm just still a little confused about the difference :-)

Thanks, Jenni

I don't think that's the case at all.  I'm pretty sure that you can stay at the Suites and have the wedding at the Beach.

We've reserved our date at the Suites, but now it looks like most of our guests may be staying at the Beach.  I'm considering changing the wedding to the Beach, but I haven't heard back regarding availability of our date.  I guess there's a backlog, now that their WC has left.

all,

the bride can choose to stay at any of the three properties, however, if you're a Beach guest and wish to have your wedding at the Suites or the Grande, you're not allowed...but, if you're a Suites guest, you can have your wedding at the Suites or the Beach and if you're a Grande guest then you can have your wedding at any of the three properties, basically, as a Grande guest you have access to all three hotels....when you're a Suites guest, you can visit the Beach but not the Grande and when you're a Beach guest, you're not "allowed" to eat, drink or lounge at any of the other hotels, however, they will allow Beach guests to visit the Suites for the disco and the spa...which is the same spa and disco that Grande guests have access to, as well.  of course, ALL guests have access to the same stretch of beach....so you can sneak a peak at the other properties by simply walking the shoreline.

my thought was, my guests are paying to come to jamaica to witness my wedding and share in our festivities...so, i chose the Beach property because i didn't want to have to even THINK about them spending ANYMORE money than the price of their travel package..which, is only costing us about $900/pp, some $700 and others even $660...i have guests traveling from TX, MD, VA, IN and even FL.  i've asked my guests to travel from 10/6-10/11 and to purchase travel insurance since that's during the atlantic hurricane season.

and just so ya'll know, the wedding packages aren't that different AND the hotels aren't that different either.  i visited last year and was very impressed with the Suites as well as the Beach property...because both properties allow kids, i didn't really notice any real 'differences' and frankly, that was another reason i chose the Beach property...also, the 'feel' of the Beach property is very 'young, hip and fun' which i believe my guests will enjoy.  now, my fiance and i are staying at the Grande this time around, only because i MUST experience the butler service and figured it would be cool to do so for our wedding plus, we can sneak away for alone time and not have to 'worry' about bumping into any of our guests.  we'll honeymoon at the Grande as well...and i can't wait!

btw, some of the restaurants that Suite guests reserve are actually located in the Beach property, ie, the Japanese restaurant and the Cajun one...so just something else for everyone to think about.

happy planning, all!!!  R~

Thanks for the well wishes.  This time next week I will be a married woman!

Yes, I plan to do a review upon my return and will stay active on this forum to help out as so many other brides have done for us all.

Do you know if the restaurants at the Beach have the same requirements for minimum numbers for private receptions. Everyone attending our wedding is staying at the suites but we are getting married offsite and we are set on having a private reception. Because we only have 32 guests, our only option is the mediterranean restaurant. I wonder if we would have any other choices at the beach? Does anyone know how many guests you need for a private rental at the outdoor steak restaurant at the beach? (Uncle Tony's?)

Thanks!

Hi Daisymable you can cancel upto 24hrs before. If they know its for your wedding they might even be more easy going!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
