Prettysparklie your wedding is 2 days after mine! Can't wait!  The Suites is now completely sold out the week we are there!

Are you using Tai Flora for your flowers? I haven't been able to make arrangements with them due to their lack in responsiveness so I'll most likely be using Floral Fantasies. The flower situation is pretty much the last thing I have to take care of.

Hope all your planning is going well!

Hi ladies,

Can anyone tell me the difference in having the wedding at the Grand, Suites, or the beach. I have been looking at the beach wedding package that they sent me because I wanted the guest's cost to be as minimal as possible but I do not know anything about the others. Is there a price difference? Can I have the "grande" wedding package if we stay at the Grande? Do the packages include different things? Any info would be helpful!

Thanks ladies!

Jenni,

I picked the beach resort because of the cost of the vacation. I didn't want my guest's paying more than $1800 per person to go to Jamaica for the week (I wanted everyone to come and I based it on travel quotes from January!). As far as I know the wedding packages between the suites and the beach resort are very similar, but it's more money to stay at the suites. Also take into consideration that the grand doesn't allow kids!

Can anyone give me insight on the dress code in restaurants for ladies and men?  How strict are they?  Does the dress code apply to every restaurant?  Also, are there age requirements that you all know of for children in the specialty restaurants?

Hi Eholt,

besides the gourmet resturant (which requires long pants) everything else is causual. Just like no bathing suits for dinner :)

And kids can be any where at the suites that why i choose it instead of the grand!

eholt...no bathing suits at anytime in the buffet, either...AND they want men to wear shirts with sleeves..to avoid any 'hairy' situations..they can be short sleeves just no cutoffs...they'll allow you to have on a bathing suit and a cover up if you wish to dine at the outdoor restaurant at lunchtime, i forget the name of it...btw, the food selections are quite tasty..the suites is a beautiful resort..i know your wedding will be beautiful!!!  :-)  good luck!  R~

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
