Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies! Just finished reading all 232 pages in this thread...finally!!! Getting married at the Suites on June 21st, 2011!! Can't wait!!

We have 51 people booked for our wedding! I've decided on Calabash for a private reception. I initially wanted to have the reception at Aunt Ruby's but after reading a lot of the reviews I don't want my guests to be uncomfortable in the heat. Now trying to decide on a location for the rehearsal/welcome dinner.

I have had no luck getting in touch with Tai Flora and so recently I've been getting in touch with other florists.

Anyway, this thread has been a lifesaver! So many of my questions have been answered!!

I agree with everyone, beautiful pictures Rosemarie!  I have a question about your reception...  It looks like it is in Calabash.  I was wondering about your centerpieces.  Just wondering how what you got compares to what comes included in the private reception.  I haven't really thought about the reception yet, and liked your table set-up and centerpieces.

Thanks for the heads up!  We're about to book Marcia as well, and planning on renting out Calabash.  You looked gorgeous, and your wedding was beautiful!  I'm also wondering if your centerpieces were the standard in the package for $58, or if they were extra (I'm guessing extra, lol).  Did you use Tai Flora?  Also, was your bouquet standard as included in the package, or extra charge?  Thanks so much for letting us have a peek.

Hi Starrysim,

I wish my centerpieces were that price! lol. and we did use Tai flora I broke the bank with flowers. it was the only thing i was going to do for decoration and i didn't do oots bags or anything so i spent the money there. each centerpiece was 100 dollars!!eek.gif i had seven of them. My bouquet was a extra 100 dollars. I also rented the table cloths from tai as well which like 25 dollars each. As well i had mother of bride/mother in law /grandmother wrist corsages and two centerpieces for my head table. a few other small extras and the bill came to 1700 dollars. but i was SUPER happy with the outcome and I am still really happy with the way it turned out. they were pretty accomidating if you did have a budget at first i said 2500 but then wanted to cut it down so they brought down the price on the centerpieces and table cloths.

I will say though they were super bad to work with as they never got back to me for weeks on end. But i have heard calling them is the way to go!

Hi Daisymable and IslandBride201x,

I answered above the question for starrysim as i saw her questions first. But yes i did use calabash and these centerpieces were WAY extra! lol i put the pricing above. I used Taiflora and i had lilies I am not sure what type in the bouquet. I just sent them a picture  of  what i like for my bouquet and the copied it exactly. i was very happy with the outcome

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
