Soniag123 - We just called the resort yesterday and found out Nicole was on vacation until I think today.  I, like you, am anxiously waiting replies from her... but I am just hoping our date is open, I don't know how fast they book up!  Hopefully we hear back soon!

The ipod worked great just make sure you have everything labeled.

Congrats Mrs. Smith! I am now very worried about not getting a private reception. This is SO important to us.  Did you have the music room booked out privately for cocktails or something? Had Nicole told you that you could do this via email or over the phone? How would you suggest confirming this so that there are no surprises?

It looks like you had a beautiful day, the beach set up was gorgeous!

Thanks!  The music bar booked private until 10:30 cocktails and DJ included.  I didn't know about this until we got there, but it worked out well.  I would suggest confirming everything before arrival, no surprises!

I talked with Iberostar quite a bit about the private reception topic a few weeks back and I was told (as well as several other brides on here) that no matter what, if you pay for the vacant people or pay even more than they ask they will not let you rent out a restaurant private if you don't meet the minimum amount of people. Breeze - a girl that just had her wedding a little while ago - told the WC that she had more guests than she really did and they still let her rent it out private once she got there and they realized she didn't have that many people. But if you ask them ahead of time to rent out a restaurant private with not enough people they will say no - - - my suggestion, do what Breeze did and tell a little white lie ;)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
