Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

Yes I have a TA. I'm in the opposite boat...the airfare rates are out but not the resort rates :( I talked to someone at Iberostar and my TA this afternoon and they said there's nothing that can be done they won't book the rooms any earlier and that all the resorts are like that. I just don't feel like 6 months is enough time to send out invites and have everyone book rooms. How long beforehand did yo ladies send out invitations?? Otherwise I'd have to send out invites that say  something like...Rates will be available in July, contact my TA for more information. Did everyone include the prices and whatnot in your invites or tell everyone that info later? I feel like i'm getting screwed on time because my wedding is in January, right at the beginning of 2012.

I already have a wedding package and date booked and my deposit down for our private beach wedding through TWJ so i'm not worried anymore about the coordinators lack of coordination at Iberostar but I was hoping we could book our rooms soon :( I just wanted to be able to give my guests as early of notice as possible so they'll have more time to plan and save money.

WHaaaaaaa you already have your hotel rooms booked that far in advance?! Not just your wedding date but the rooms too?! I'm going to have to talk to someone else because she told me there's no way we could book rooms early and that's crap lol obviously you can!

I agree with eholt... find a good TA.  This is just my experience so far in the very early stages, but our TA has been able to track that information down for us and we are booked for July 22, 2012.  We can't do anything with airfare until August/September, but getting some of the pricing didn't seem to be a problem.  Good luck, I hope you can find someone to help you and put your mind at ease.

Don't worry everyone!!! I sent out invites without having final prices. I directed everyone to my wedding website and even had a facebook group to notify them when final prices are out. It is worth it to wait too! Prices DROP the closer it gets so you want to offer your guests the best prices. Everyone booked the trip in Oct/Nov 2010 and our wedding was in Feb 2011

Hope this helps!

Only our wedding is booked right now.  Our travel agent is working on the rooms now... or at least that is what she told me she is working on.  She did not lead me to believe there would be a wait in booking our rooms, so I will have to follow-up with her again.  Maybe there is something she has neglected to pass along to me about not actually booking the rooms.

That is great to hear PrincessJ about your timing and everything working out.  I'm not going to worry about it... they do so many weddings and seem to sell out throughout the year.  The reviews are so positive, I am sure it will all work out.

I have another question that hopefully someone can help me with.  I was going to email Nicole, but I figure I will get a quicker response here... I noticed in the wedding package information it mentions that the tax and service charge is included in the price of the wedding.  I couldn't find a reference to tax and service charge in the other packets Nicole sent me, such as private reception, DJ, etc.  Does anyone know if they are included in the prices given or are they additional fees?  I have them in my budget as additional, but figured it is worth checking.

My TA was able to get me rates last June for my May 2011 wedding.  I did not do a room block and all my guest called her for months afterwards and were able to get rates.  Yes, you do have to wait on airfare to be released and it differs by carrier I believe.  I did work with more than on TA initally when I felt I wasn't getting what I needed so try that as well.  Its yoru wedding and your guests...you deserve the best options possible.

eholt out days are approaching quickly, not sure if you know already but the hotel is almost booked out.  Nicole isn't as responsive lately as she used to be, the busy season seems to be approaching so I guess we'll have to start calling soon.  Which restaurant are you choosing?

lizk you need to change your TA, I booked everything a year in advance including my rooms.  The resort and the iberostar website won't allow you to book until 6 months prior but with a good TA all is possible.

2012 brides, my only suggestion is that you add 10% to the current price list when budgeting.  I booked my entire wedding with the 2010 price list and didn't receive the 2011 price list until a month or so ago.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
