Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

Past brides, would you mind commenting on where you kept your jewels and cash while at the resort?  I know every hotel has safes but I'm not always sure how safe they really are.  Especially after you consider how much we have to carry with us.

Hi everyone!  I wanted to introduce myself as a new Rose Hall Suites bride.  We just received confirmation that we are booked for July 22, 2012.  This board has already been so valuable in helping us choose the resort and getting a lot of our questions answered while we waited to hear back from Nicole.  Such a relief to cross the location and date off of the list.  Now on to Save the Dates.

we kept money/jewels and passports in the safe.  I am slighlty paranoid so I checked most days just to make sure everything was still there but we had NO issues.  I was more concerned while travelling, we split it up between hubby and I and in diff pockets/bags...

Thanks ladies! I think we will go to Negril for the honeymoon afterall. I doubt i'll wish we hadn't left because I really want the privacy from friends and family and we have a 1 year old daughter so we'd like to go somewhere with NO kids for a little while to relax ;) My TA said she likes Couples Negril more, but from reviews and pictures i've seen I think we might try Swept Away, it looks GORGEOUS!

In my personal opinion, no it's not worth the money to have it at the Suites instead of the Beach. You'll get married on the same beach and get the same decor, treatment, etc. You just pick from different restaurants to have the reception at. What we were going to do before I switched my wedding to TWJ is stay at the Suites and have the wedding through the Beach and then guests could stay at whichever section of the resort they want. We're still staying at the Suites and I think it's def. worth the money to upgrade to a room there instead of the Beach - - - but as for the wedding I don't think you really get anything more for your money there.

I can speak on this, as I got engaged while staying at the iberostar. Since my ring was too big and I was scared to lose it, I kept it in the safe, along with our passports/wallets/etc. Like Wendy say, I checked everyday (sometimes multiple times a day wink.gif), just to make sure it was ok. You should be fine, as you are the one creating the entry code and the whole resort is very safe and secure! Good luck

Hi all, I am new to this site :) I'm helping my future sister-in-law plan her destination wedding in Jamaica. She is pretty set on Iberostar Grand Rose Hall, but she has run into an issue: the rates for the hotel won't be released til June or July. Has anyone else had this problem? She wants to get married in February 2012 so waiting til June seems a little crazy, especially if cost of the hotel is the deciding factor in where she has her wedding. I would appreciate any and all advice you are willing to give!! Thanks so much!!!

Hello ladies! New to the BDW site as a member but have been stalking the forums for a couple of weeks now for information. FI and I have booked and confirmed our wedding date at the IRHS for September 8, 2011 (originally wanted 9/10/11 but was already taken crybaby2.gif). Looking forward to getting to know all of you brides out there better!  cheesy.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
