Krysta,

Your guests can book at either the Suites or Beach. People who stay at the Suites can come and go to the Beach and restaurants as they please, but those from the Beach can't travel freely to the Suites restaurants, etc. For your wedding you will have to get a pass for the Beach guests that will last from the time of ceremony until the reception is over. This is $30 per person, and children under 12 are free. Hope that all makes sense!

Yeah, that makes sense! If there is a case that warrants, if we're staying at the Suites, can we go join our families for the dinners at the restaurants in the Beach section? aka, can you downgrade restaurant class for free? Thanks so much!

Yep, when you stay at the Suites you can go to Beach restaurants at no extra cost. They just state "subject to availability." But I think with all of the restaurants except the buffet you're supposed to call ahead and make reservations anyway.

Bree,

How did you do the curled/waved ribbon that you used for chair and huppa decor? I LOVED them!!!! Was it a special kind of ribbon or did you have to do something to them?

Thanks!

I will be featuring how to make these on my upcoming blog - stay tuned!! :D

ashaun - If you can do it, try to change it. Honestly, the food and atmosphere different enough at the Grand that it wont feel repetitive. There were other things I didn't like about Secrets too - like the mosquitos!! They were bad there. There are NONE at the iberostar.

It can be hung loosely - it is mostly wrapped because it is usually to windy to hang loosely.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
