You are going to be thrilled with Marcia's work.  I still keep looking at the pics and finding new ones.  We just received a canvas print (we had a groupon) and it is amazing, the resolution is great enlarged to a 16x20.

Have fun and enjoy every minute, it will fly by!

Breeze616-  Your review was great, it actually made me cry from excitement (I know I'ma loser).  P.S. I love the term herbal refreshments lol.

Breeze can you provide info for the steel drum band? Do you by chance have a vendor list?

Hi Bee, it was only because of the wind that the original plan didn't work. You'll see they ended up wrapping the white chiffon and none was hanging free otherwise it would have been all over us. Luckily my MOH devised a way to put the colored chiffon across the top at least, so we had the punch of colour I wanted. Only the ceremony photos I put in the review were from the resort photog. The rest were what friends took. Hopefully I'll have my pro photos to share soon!!

The steeldrum band is booked through the resort, just let the WC know you want one.

Congrats on such a fantastic and amazing wedding!!! and thank you for the very detailed review. Its making me excited and a little nervous knowing that I only have 3 months to go, eeeek.

My only question for you is about your centre piece decor! Did you bring a lot with you - if so, what did you bring? and for your flowers - did you pick this out ahead of time or once you got to the resort?

Thank you!!!

These look great!

Im kinda in the same dilemma - I have two different centre piece ideas im deciding between but also concerned about bringing vases that they are going to break! My first option was to bring metal sand buckets and use those for flowers (but i know people have been quoted alot of $$$ for flowers) and my second option is to bring vases and do the water, flower and floating candle idea (but concerned of vases breaking). hmmm what to do!

Islandgirl910- I don't have a pic of the centerpiece I created but I do have the inspiration.

There was a BDW that was going to bring vases down and report back to us whether they made it safely or not, but she never did. I'd like bring our own down too. Flowers are so expensive. So the least amount we would have to use and improvise more with DIY projects would be such a blessing.

Hi Ladies,

I was looking at the vase with water and candle idea  as well, and sent this photo to Tai Flora and they quoted me $20 plus tax for this setup.  I don't know if that easier that bringing down all the glass vases.  Hope that helps some!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
