Good question about the colored sheer, Tina. I was thinking the same thing!!!

P.S. If anyone is looking for an alternative to BM bouquets, I'm going to use parasols for all my BMs! I'm really excited about it!

Do you know if we are allowed to bring colored sheer to add to the huppa?  I'm really confused on how I want my layout to be.  A huge part of me wants a beach party with a bonfire and maybe a band the night before the wedding.  Does this seem crazy?

Tina,

Yes!  Nicole will have the staff set up whatever you decide to bring to add to the standard decorations which is sheer white fabric.  No ma'am you are not crazy for wanting a beach party!  I am super excited about having a one following the rehearsal dinner and we will have the reggae band also.  Now as far as the bonfire....I never asked about pricing because I thought I remembered Leslie (Sparkles 8300) saying it cost an amount that I wasn't willing to pay.  She was very helpful during my planning and although her wedding was at the Grand she answered many questions for me whenever I could not get in touch with Nicole and each one was accurate!

As Breeze mentioned, I think they are in the middle of getting a new WC, I am getting emails now from a 'Tameika' which has been helpful! You can always call too, that works well.

Also, I am using the resort photographer but wondering if you get all pictures taken on a cd instead of just the few pictures that you get printed in your package?  Did anyone get a video done with the resort?  Is it worth it?

Thanks in advance girls!  :)

I think there are some good suggestions for photogs in the Jamaica Vendor section. Check it out. For florists check out Lisa's Review for IBRHS she used a random florist guy who worked out really well! She put his contact # in her review. Good luck!

I had the same problem at the Suites with Nicole.  She didn't respond for 3 weeks in June and we got married on August 7th.  I was livid and called the hotel and spoke with several managers.  Mr. Santo Valdez covers the suites and he was very helpful.  I advise calling and speaking with the manager.   Do not tell anyone your specific issue until you speak with the general manager.  I will copy your response and email it to him to further emphasize this point.  The hotel is wonderful.  We had a blast but they need to do better.  I did tell them that this was a common complaint on the blogs.  To view pics from my wedding, you can go to http://jamaicanphotography.com/ and select wedding tabs ...Sophia & Fitzroy.  I also posted more pics on youtube but there is no sound as yet b/c they blocked them for copyrighting issues.  will be fixed soon.  Search for Sophia & Fitz on you tube.  Hope this helps

Your flowers lining the aisle and on the arch look great as well.  Makes it look like a totally different place.  What florist did you use?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
