Is this too early or too late? I checked the iberostar website and they arnt showing any avaliablity for April -does this mean its too early?? or too late? Im concerned so im going to email Nicole!

Hi girls!  I am starting to get really nervous....my wedding is on September 25 at Iberostar Rose Hall Beach and we are having a lot of trouble getting anyone to reply to our emails in a timely manner.  Anyone have any luck just calling the resort to get some questions answered?  I know they are busy but 2 or more weeks for a reply is a bit ridiculous when my wedding is less than a month away!

Also, I am using the resort photographer but wondering if you get all pictures taken on a cd instead of just the few pictures that you get printed in your package?  Did anyone get a video done with the resort?  Is it worth it?

Thanks in advance girls!  :)

Jules,

Hey!  It seems like everyone has their own unique way of doing this when it comes to destination weddings so honestly I don't think you can go wrong.  Travel agents are a huge help!  Let me share how I handled booking:  I sent out my save the dates Feb. 1st and I printed my travel agents information on them.  I am a very anal so I only wanted them to go through her in order for things to work out the way they have so far : ).  The deadline for booking the trip and placing deposits down was March 31st.  They have until September 30th to pay for their trip in full and we leave for the wedding on November 20th.  This worked out perfect and it was not too early for booking at all and we got the rooms we wanted!  Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hey JessicaC,

I have too am having my wedding at IRHB and have called them a couple times with questions.  The first time I called, I asked if I could speak to the wedding coordinator or anyone whowould be able to answer my wedding questions, but no one was there. From my impression, their either really busy or they only work a few days in the week.  So you have to catch the wedding coordinator at just the right time.  After a couple of tries, I did get a hold of someone, but it seems like whether i wrote an email or personally called, the response time is the same. Then again, if you have the time to call, it's worth a try, especially since your wedding is so near.

And I wouldn't worry too much about the photography stuff.  You can always upgrade later, right?  But I am looking at my "extra charges" sheet that they had emailed me and they have a few different packages that range from $300 (24 pics) to $875 (70 pics).  The DVD (edited appro. 45 mins) is $350. And it also says that the processing of photos takes 3 days after being shot.

Good luck!

Nikki,

Do you know if we are allowed to bring colored sheer to add to the huppa?  I'm really confused on how I want my layout to be.  A huge part of me wants a beach party with a bonfire and maybe a band the night before the wedding.  Does this seem crazy?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
