Tina,

I understand what you are saying, but I am holding my cocktail hour on the lobby terrace right outside of the lobby bar.  This way people can just go and get their own drinks if they want to at no extra cost to us.  If some want to stay with us while we take pictures at the ceremony area they can, but then we plan to migrate around the resort for unique candid shots and at that point they can go up to the lobby terrace.  We will have pre-recorded jazz music playing and they can relax or go and freshen up and either way we are ok because we would not have spent a penny : )!

My fear with having a cocktail party is that most of my guest will stay with us at the beach to take pictures and miss the cocktail hour or some may want to freshen up a bit before dinner.  I mean is cocktail hour really necessarily if it's an all-inclusive and everyone can just hang out at the bar for a few drinks?  I guess I want to be a part of all of the fun lol...

No, I just had one of our friends who is a DJ to make different CD's for us.  I will have 4 total: one for the welcome gathering, the ceremony, cocktail, and wedding dinner.  We are having a reggae band after the rehearsal dinner and a DJ during the reception after dinner.

My ceremony is set for 5:30 pm so I am not sure about that one.

THese are the pics from our photographer.  He was amazing.  I highly recommend Michael Saab photgraphy.  If you have any questions feel free to ask.  I know that there are a lot of pics but you will get to see it all.  Our ceremony was at the lazy river and the reception was Aunt Ruby's

I like that idea, i thought about it but my fiance shot me down, but I'm pretty sure they probably will be using that bar anyway.  I'ma run that past him again because we are also using the terrace.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
