My birthday was November 21st and we were planning on celebrating the weekend in San Antonio, so Saturday morning we packed up the car and headed out. We arrived in San Antonio and decided to spend the day at Sea World. His brother met us out there with the excuse that he had never been to Sea World. So, we spent the day feeding the dolphins, watching shows and visiting the Budweiser area and sampling the beer. By the afternoon we decided to head over and watch the shark feeding.

 

My fiancé excused himself and said he needed to use the restroom and about 5 minutes later he called me and said that he had a birthday surprise for me and that I should meet him right by the entrance to the park. I headed over to the entrance and he met me half way in front of the Sea World Experiences area.

 

My birthday surprise was a Beluga Whale interactive experience. We got to go behind the scenes and get suited up in wetsuits to join the 2200 lb beluga Whales in the training pools. After about 45 minutes of interacting with the whales and the trainer handed Mike a buoy to throw out and the whale brought it back to me and written on it was; "Will You Marry Me?" and I looked over to Mike and he was on one knee with a ring in his hand. It was the most unique experiences of my life and I will never forget it.

 

We look forward to creating many more memories together in the upcoming weeks, months and years.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
