seriously. but i'd have to give up the forum or work to do that. lord knows i can't give up the forum. and i have to work to pay for the wedding (and the house!). i say we all stop working, and just come up w/a barter system. we have a large enough group w/varied skills, we could do it. i will program anyone's computer in exchange for something else, like Tammy could provide my real estate services, and be my travel agent, and I could be her IT support. i can clean pretty well, and then trade that for, let's say, Sarah's nursing skills when i have a baby. we could make this work, really.

Haha...omg you are cracking me up. OK, well I could do your bookkeeping and taxes if you'll clean my house. And Glenda could be very useful with her legal services, keeping us all out of trouble and what not. But, um, what do we do for food?

My mom has a farm. She'll have to ramp up her production of organic veggies. Right now she just grows enough for herself.....ok, I can see this coming together now :)

Christa thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. You sound so truly happy and that makes me happy. I really am so glad that everything worked out perfectly for you. It's nice to see people's hardwork and planning come together for a special event. I especially loved reading the part about cementing your new family.

As far as the barter society I am so in!! Maybe our DH can be our army to protect us from foreign enemies. LOL. Or they could just do all the physical work.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
