Oops sorry I hit enter too soon...lol. So ya we booked trvel through an agent and wedding through the online wedding website for the Riu. Once we had a confirmed date then we went to the travel agent but we had quite a bit of time until the wedding date. You pretty much have to go through all the steps on the website to see date availability - if it's not available it won't let you select the date or time.

Our photographer was Mango Productions which was part of the package although we just kept with the standard package offering as we had a friend coming that does photography as a hobby so she took most other pics. Mango did do a fantastic job on the pics they did take - I would totally upgrade the pictures if that's something that's important to you.

We also took the standard supper package that's included and it was great. We were seperate from the general population anyhow even though it's says it's semi private. We had it at the Steeakhouse and they had it all set up downstairs so there was no one around other than our party so that was great. Let me tell you the food was FANTASTIC there too....we were so impressed with it.

Anyhow if you have any questions - just let me know. I know how hard it is when you can't find the specific info you are looking for.

I got married at the Santa Fe. I loved it. It was relaxed and alot of fun. If you want you can see my slide show on my photographer website. Its Kelly and Pauls slide show. MySpace.com - The Wedding Photographer - 46 - Male - St Louis, US - www.myspace.com/fotou. I did go with Dreams beacause of pricing and distance to downtown. My guest wanted to party. I dont think you can go wrong with either one. if you go on their website you can see what dates are avaliable.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
