Why is so hard to get used to wearing my ering?

Recommended Posts

So, I finally got my ering and I absolutely love how it looks. We had it custom made (I helped picked it out b/c my FI knows how picky I am) and I love the ring - but I don't like wearing it.

I never wore rings before this so maybe I have to get used to it - but I am so uncomfortable wearing it. I want to show it off and I am excited about that, but as soon as I get home I am so happy to take it off..

Part of it is that it feels really loose and moves around - but it barely fits over my knuckle and is really hard to take off, so I couldn't get a smaller size..

Has anyone had this problemhuh.gif I may go to the jeweler and see about the sizing, but I told this to my fiance and he seemed so upset that it isn't perfect after all the work he went through to have someone make my perfect ring..

I don't know if I'm always happy either or comfortable wearing mine... but at the same time, whenever it's off during the day I feel naked.

Often, I find it bothers me at night, so I take it off halfway through the night.

I just got married, so now I have to get used to 2 on my finger. And my fingers are short!

Why don' tyou just try taking it off at night and that will give your finger a break as you get used ot it. Just make sure you have a little box that closes to put it in next to your bed. You don't want to start leaving it around everywhere! You might lose it!

Ha, at least yours put his on! My DH's ring was to small for him at the wedding and we were going to get it resized, then he had surgery on his shoulder and his fingers were so swollen for a while. I don't know what his excuse is now!

DH had a hard time with the first one we bought, because it was thick and not tapered on the edges and a bit big. So as soon as he got home, he took it off. The new one fits him better, so he wears it all the time, and its tapered.

It was so funny, with the last one, he would take it off to have <ahem> marital relations. He said he felt unbalanced. I was like whoa that might get in the way of the moves!

Do you girls ever take your rings off? I've had mine for over 8 months and I just can't get used to wearing it at work (hospital) for some reason so I don't wear it all the time. I also take it off to sleep and shower. Sometimes I feel like I never wear it! LOL.

I feel the same way. Now I wear it at work, but when I first got it I was uncomfortable wearing it. I think half of it was comfort and the other half was I was scared to death to lose it! I lose jewelry a lot. I have gotten used to wearing it and it doesn't bother me anymore, but I still take it off if I am showering, cleaning, or sleeping. So basically I wear it in public. Hopefully someday I'll feel naked without it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
