Why is so hard to get used to wearing my ering?

Recommended Posts

When I first got my ering, it hurt my fingers, on either side of my ring finger. It's a fairly thick band, so it would make little sores on my other fingers. I have gotten used to it though, and now I have three rings (2 wedding bands) to get used to. Sometimes they still bother me, so I wear my ering on my rihgt hand and the wedding bands on the left.

Oh and I also take my rings off almost as soon as I get in the house after work every night and I only put them on before I leave the house. I also don't wear them in the shower, cuz that is when I let them soak to get clean.

Hmm, I never sleep with any jewelry on, this includes my e-ring...my mom raised me that way, she always told me never to sleep with it on, so I don't lol. I also don't do dishes, shower, or do yardwork with my e-ring on as I am scared of wrecking it or losing it...other than that, it is almost always on. cheesy.gif

I know my FI thinks he won't be able to get used to the feeling of a ring on his finger after the wedding, so if it drives him nuts, we agreed that he could wear it on his chain...but still, I'd prefer it on his finger. Oh well.

Even if I get used to it, I still don't plan to wear it to work - I also work in a hospital (and a clinic also) and wash my hands at least 50 times per day - and I'm constantly putting on gloves so it'll get in the way.. also, I'd have to take it off for sterile procedures - so then I worry about losing it.. although I know other doctors and nurses wear erings to work.. I think I'll wear my wedding band to work once I'm married, but I like my ering too much..
(not to mention it's still so uncomfortable for me to wear :) )

I'm glad I'm not alone in this though :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
