I'm on the fence about doing a wedding video. Cain's fine with it if that's what I decide, but I can't make up my mind one way or the other.

Are you doing a video? If yes or no, please explain way you choose yes or no.

Yes. I hired BVP for 4 hours to shoot raw footage for me.

A video was a non-negotiable item for the wedding, imo. Jeff didn't think we needed it. I know that I will be very caught up in the moment and will want to relive it a couple times. I also didn't want to stick any of my family or guests with the job of videographer.

Hmm, The reason I'm on the fence is because I'm having a hand full of guests (3 to be exact) and since Juan does such an awesome job I could do a little CD with his pics set to music. And it wouldn't cost me anything. Do people really want to listen to our vows and such? I mean I can see if our wedding was larger and people say things to the bride and groom but that wouldn't really happen for us.

Tammy I am doing that-I am also going to possible record the audio of the ceremony (using a digital voice recorder). I don't really ever see myself sitting down and watching a video but I always look at pics-I look at my b-pics daily (well the only ones I have so far on here)

I agree that Juan does a great job and your pictures will be phenomenal. His slideshow would be wonderful as well. However, don't worry about if "people" want to listen to your vows- do YOU? Most of what I have done concerning the wedding is for no one else but myself. If you don't care about watching a wedding video in the future, then don't bother!
Jeff's mom and sister are so excited that we're doing a video, this way his sister can see it. I honestly couldn't care less what they think- I want a video so I can watch it again- I know it's kinda a selfish line of thinking, but it's MY wedding so I'll do what I want! I would still have a video even if it was just Jeff & I getting married by ourselves, but that's just me...

IMO, if you are saying personal vows, you will probably want it. I know that if I did personal vows I'd be crying so hard I'd have no idea what he said to me!!! On another note, I too think that your family might like to see your wedding since they couldn't be there. I would assume that you are having a very short ceremony, so it's not like it'll be painful for people to watch.

Hmm... I don't think I helped. How about you flip a coin?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
