Thanks!! Time is flying by SOO fast. I just returned from my tradeshow in Vegas (that I coordinated). It was a long exhausting week. I am leaving for a wedding in DC on Thursday. My FI is a groomsman. Then I come back and have my shower, then my wedding is ony a few weeks away. I can't believe it!!

I am getting excited and alittle anxoius. There are still som many "little" details that I am afraid I might forget. I need to start making a list.

I did not, I guess because we were spending enough on rooms and food/drinks! I have heard that now you have to though, unless you book 10 rooms or something. Do you have to pay a fee?

We did have to pay location fee for the beach area for the whole day and the reception area at PB Sunset beach. For the reception the costs for linens and tables, chairs and the basics were covered in the price. I am not certain that all the guests are going to stay at PB so we payed the fees and if they do then they will apply the cost to bar or food.

This is a tough one, but here goes - this is for 65 people and we're hosting two nights:

Flight: $800

Hotel Rooms: $1100

Hair/makeup: $120

Flowers: $800

Music: $2150

Reception/Cocktail Hour Food: $3470

Drinks: $~6500

Welcome Dinner: $3900

Welcome Dinner Drinks: ~$2400

Cake: nothing - included in dinner

Invites: $200

Arch: $300

Coordinator Fee/Judge: $800

Photography & Video: $1600

Fire Dancers: $675

Fireworks: $2000

Salsa Teachers: $380

Nanny: $80

Ring Bearer/Flower Girl Stuff: $60

Chair Sashes: $200

OOT Bags: $1000

Wedding Album: ~$1000

Guest Book: $160

Plus - gifts for parents, attendants, FI, and me; wedding bands; wedding dress; entertainment while we're in Cabo, etc.

The info above does not include 10% tax and 15% tip. We'll come in around $45,000 not including the engagement ring. Ouch - but way less than we would have spent had we had it at home.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
