Budget

Recommended Posts

It's kinda hard sticking to a budget... I set 10K and I quickly realized, it just doesn't cut it. Of course, it would have been cheaper had I opted out of a private function. However, I had a couple more people call saying they were definitely coming (I ASKED THEM TO RSVP BY MID-APRIL) so now it's up to 40..

Umm...looking at everyone's budget's i'm starting to think i'm not very realistic. I was hoping that a destination wedding would be cheaper than a wedding at home! I have a budget of $15 000 and am hoping to get unlimited private functions at Moon Palace because i'll have enough guests booking rooms to give me this privledge. Thanks to all for posting there's as i see there's lots i haven't thought of.

Wow. This is the most helpful thread ever. I'm glad to see that so many of us are paying more for our photographers than for our wedding packages. Tee hee hee. Now I don't feel so bad. I don't have an itemized budget yet but I'm sure it will be very similar to the rest...and DEFINITELY well over $10K with everything included.

Ok so I am glad that I found this thread. It is really putting a few things into perspective for me. I think I need to take a closer look at what I am paying for and reevaluate its worth. For the ladies doing packages of TTD/BD/Wedding Day roughly how much was your package and did it include rights/copies of your photos on disk?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
