Hello Ladies,

 

I am planning on having my wedding at the Ritz. It will just be the two of us so we plan to have it at Lava Point on the hotel grounds. It looks beautiful. Has anyone else done this or heard of it? Is it worth the $$$ to hold the wedding at the Ritz? I would like privacy but we are also looking at APDW and having the wedding on Kapalua beach on a weekday morning because it seems to be more affordable.

Fellow BC'er! Congrats on your upcoming wedding. Maui is a beautiful location for your DW. We will be there again in March 2009 and are looking forward to enjoying a few days of vacation while we are there. We have not had any exposure to the Ritz yet, but know that the area will make for a beautiful backdrop. Then again, so will Kapalua beach.

 

Not sure if you've thought about photography yet, but you may want to consider bringing a photographer along with you. Having a photographer that you've had a chance to meet and know their style adds a bit of a personal touch to it and relaxes you knowing you'll get the photography style you've always dreamed of.

Hi Sandra,

 

I've been to numerous weddings at Lava Point/Ritz Carlton Kapalua. It is breathtaking, if you can afford it I would definitely do it. It feels like you are standing on the edge of the world with only ocean and your husband surrounding you. Kapalua Beach is nice too but it's definitely more dramatic at Lava Point, plus it's guaranteed seclusion. You can't get that anywhere else but Maui! :)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
