My final fitting was last night....I am having 2nd thoughts!

Recommended Posts

I can't even pinpoint the reason, but I didn't "love" my dress at my final fitting last night and I have been thinking about it all day. I am thinking I settled on the wrong dress. Is this normal? SHould I go out and shop a little more to alleviate my worries or will I just make myself crazy? I only have 30 days left!

I had to chop my head off cause I looked horrid!!

it looks incredible on you. I experienced the same thing at my last fitting but I went for my final fitting this morning and (thank goodness) I am totally into the dress again... I think it helped that I have been tanning for the past week & half and it just looks better with a tan!! Maybe try that and put all your accessories on including the veil and I think you will love it again!

Jamie - I totally went through the same thing a few months ago. I wondered if I had looked hard enough and found "the one". As time passed I fell more in love with my dress and now couldn't be happier with it! I haven't had my final fitting yet so we'll see how that goes. As far as you and your dress, it looks beautiful on you!!! I think you should feel fabulous in it (and keep it)!

Wow... everyone is saying keep it... I am leaning more in the direction of keep looking! I think that if you look a bit more and still don't find "the one" then at least you have one that fits you perfectly to wear on your Big Day. However, if you find one you like better, it will have been worth the hassle.

For myself, I bought one dress, had the alterations which made it even prettier (they added a tie back) and then I decided that I just didn't "love" it enough and I went looking again. I then found THE ONE and after being married in THE ONE, my hubby says that he liked the 2nd one much better than the 1st (which I sold on Craigslist for a profit so it wasn't a big deal)... also, knowing you are in THE ONE is the best feeling for a Bride. I loved the first dress, it looked lovely, but when I found the 2nd one, there was no doubt in my mind. I hope you can feel that way on your Big Day whichever you choose.

It fits so well, but I can tell from your body language in your pictures that you're not happy. In that case, keep looking. Kinda insane with so little time left yes, but at the very least you'd regain that happy posture that comes from wearing a dress that makes you feel special.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
