At home teeth whitening systems….??

Recommended Posts

Sherri,

I used the Crest Whitestrips. I found it difficult to keep up with the twice a day for 14 days, and ended up missing a few. I did notice a difference, but not a huge one - and it lasted a month or so (?!). lol, that might have something to do with the fact that I missed some days tho lol.

I haven't used the "paint-on" whitening that they released. You put it on before you go to bed and sleep with it on, then brush it off the next morning. I think that'll be my next try though.

It seems that I buy so many of these products that in the long run I would have been better off doing the expensive treatment in the first place - but oh well!!!

I read in an article somewhere that all teeth whitening do a good job. The difference between at-home and at the dentist is the percentage of the active ingredient that whitens them (off hand, I don't know the chemical)....but they said that the crest strips have something like 7%, and the dentist has something like 25% of the whitening agent. They also said that name brand and generic that have the same percentage will do the same job. Not that you must buy a namebrand kind.

I could be wrong...but that is what I read...any dentists out there!?

I have used the Crest and this just reminded me that it's probably time to do it again. In my experience it lasts 2 years (I've done them twice), however I don't drink coffee or soda, so that could have something to do with it. It worked wonderfully though. Gorgeous! i actually didn't use all 14 days because my teeth got too white (think Friends), but that was nice because when I notice that they might be darkening a little I use the remainder of the box.

I use the crest brush on day stuff. I don't have it with me but it works great. i have really sensitive teeth so I found the strips to be incredibly painful. I don't even want to think about it. The brush on stuff works great. I used it once a day for 2 weeks and noticed a BIG difference.

I use Crest Whitestrips about once a year. I have fairly white teeth anyway, and I don't drink coffee and try to avoid cola so they usually stay pretty nice. But, I always notice a big difference with the Whitestrips. I have perfect strangers comment on my teeth all the time too- so they must work. One tip- avoid the Premium whitestrips- they made my teeth so sensitive I could hardly eat. I also always make sure I use Sensodyne whitening toothpaste for a couple months after I whiten.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
