It could save you tons of money.. and if you are doing welcome bags and wanted them canvas I would wait for the dollar tree to get theres back so they are only $1.00 a bag and you can order them direct from the site in a case of 24!! Good Luck!!

It can be overwhelming at times considering how hard it is to get 11 girls to do the same thing or even schedule things. Thank god for email and facebook LoL!! The guys are the easy part because they basically do what they're told so no problems there. By no means does anyone have a lot of money but I have a huge family and most of them are coming. Plus i'm the first from my immediate family to get married so everyone is really excited.

Are you ladies doing a welcome bag per room or per person?  I'm still trying to decide how much to spend on these and I really don't want to fill them with cute things that people won't use.  Also, is everyone doing favors at the reception?  Again, I'm trying to think of something that's cute and useful and I'm coming up short.

I am not doing whole bags. I am getting everyone a bubba keg and filling it with a few things, depending on the person. So not all-out OOT bags, but similar. And I am making activity books. That is it for the rooms.

I am not doing a separate favour at the reception at the DW; I will be doing something at the AHR though; not sure what.

We will have a fairly small group , though, and no one has been to a DW before, so they will not be expecting the bubbas; they are going to act as favours and welcome gifts.

Hope that helps!

We are doing one welcome bag per room, I also felt the same away about providing people with things that they would just throw away.. So as of right now my oot bags items are:

1) Acrylic Tumblers For Drinks

3) Vistaprint Postcards that will have postage already on it to send to family/friends at home (most likely a bundle of 3 or 4) with a pen attached with rafia

4) Cotton candy push pops for the children

5) Tortuga Rum Cakes

6) Bug Spray - Not sure which brand yet.. Heard it is VERY buggy at our resort and I don't think anybody will remember to bring a bug spray (and I'm not going to tell them to)

7) Grandma Lulu's sand dollar cookies

And so far that is it! We are staying at an all-inclusive resort... And I know they have food included but the food I am including is "island like" food which I don't think they will have on the property!!

We are also doing separate favors at the wedding reception... Although I keep going back and forth.. I think the winner may be small Jamaican wood carving sea creatures.. I wanted something that was local to Jamaica not some wedding thing that everybody would throw away but something they could keep as a souvenir!! Where are you getting married?!? Maybe we could brainstorm on some ideas for you!

I'm not doing OOT bags - I think it'll just add to "stuff" that people will have to either take back or end up leaving in their rooms for housekeeping to take or throw away. I will, however, still be doing wedding favors but things local to Mexico so I'll buy them there. I wanted to get them souvenir-like favors that they could take home as souvenirs of both the trip and the wedding. This way if they don't get a chance to go souvenir shopping, I have them covered.

Just wanted to let you girls know that I just got my OOT bags at Bed Bath & Beyond; they are HUGE canvas bags that are great quality!  They were marked down to $3 a bag and then I got to use 3/$5 off coupons making my total for 16 bags only $35!!!!  I thought that was a steal! :)  I just wanted something that people would actually use again!   I would definitely check it out if you are looking for a good deal!   Towels and sunscreen have started going on sale too since it's the end of the season!  I love a sale!!!!!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
