Hi! I'm getting married in Grand Cayman in May 2009, and there are only 2 main photographers that I know of in Grand Cayman (David Wolfe and Rebecca Davidson). I've been trying to get in contact with them for MONTHS, and neither of them have even acknowledged my messages. I'm getting a little panicky about this; after all, photography is such an important part of the wedding. Any advice about what to do in this situation

Hi! Congrats on your upcoming wedding! I'm biased, but I would recommend finding a photographer to take with you. That way you can find a photographer with a style that you like and have a personality that will work well with you and your fianc©â€™s. You'll feel a lot more relaxed knowing your wedding portraits are well taken care of.

Surprisingly bringing a photographer along is not always that expensive either. Some are willing to minimize their package rates if there flights and accommodation is paid for.

      Just something to think about.

Best of luck with the plans!

I also agree in bringing a photographer with you because there is a huge positive: you can get more time than someone only there one day.

If you want to stick with them I would try calling if you haven't or even submitting an inquiring on their website again if they offer that feature.

        Good luck!

I attended my friend's DW in Grand Cayman and they used Rebecca Davidson. Her photos were AMAZING!!! And she was so cute and down to earth.

I agree! Take one with you. One that responds to your emails/call the same day. You are getting married and have lots to plan and do not want to have to worry about when or if your photographer will get back to you. Even the little questions are still very big to you :)
Many US photographers will accomodate your requests for specific packages that you are looking for and work out better in the long run. Starting off on the right foot is so important...it's your wedding :)
