This forum has been great and has helped a lot with my planning.

When are you getting married?
We are planning on the week of April 16th-23rd, 2011, right before easter. April is a beautiful time of year in Aruba, and the low season starts April 15th, so prices are cheaper. I'm so excited!!!!

I am getting married in July in aruba and was looking to see if anyone had recommendations for hair and makeup? A friend of mine was going to come and do everyones hair but she had to cancel so now I'm trying to do a little research. Thank you for all your help.

Hey fellow Aruban Bride-

I'm getting married two days after you!! Where will your wedding take place? I got a recommendation for the Knipoog Salon on the island. I heard that Rubia(hair) and Elene (makeup)are wonderful to work with. I booked my services with Maggy's Salon at the Renaissance Resort but I'm not sure if I'm going to still use them.

Check out the Aruba wedding forum on The Official Tourism Website of Aruba - Information for Travel, Hotels, and Reservations. You may be able to find some helpful info there. Good Luck!!

We got married in Aruba on 11/6/2009. It was fantastic!! We had our ceremony on Eagle Beach. Edwina Werleman with E2 Events & Celebrations Aruba was our wedding coordinator. She is the best!
We had our dinner at the Aruba Marriott and Stellaris Casino. Everyone did
a fantastic job and we have no complaints. The girl who did my hair and makeup did a fantastic job. Her name is Jennive. Edwina hired her for me. Contact me with a pm and I can give you all of her contact information. I'm not sure if I can put that information on this site. I can even email you a picture of my hair.

Hi Mmack...

I also got married at the Renaissance in July 2008. We had an excellent wedding, it was everything we ever dreamed about and our family and friends are still raving over it almost 2 years later. If you would like any additional information or to see my pictures, send me an email and I would be happy to share with you since I know how difficult this whole process can be.

    • How about installing a home web cam? And hire a house sitter to check up every week?
    • You can hire a graphic designer on Fiverr to create the wedding cards then just print them yourself. Another option so you can save money is to create the card how you want it on Canva and have them printed at a printing shop.
    • My wedding is coming soon, and I would like to know where I can find best wedding cards at affordable prices. I only find one store known as Lavenderpaperie.com where the cards are lovely and unique, But I want to know the other option name so that I can choose best wedding card. Please, if you have any suggestion on where to go, let me know. Thanks & Regards,

    • Hi Brides! I have a Wally Bag - 66" available - $90 + shipping (US only) The wally bag typically sells for $120-$180. I used this gown bag once to transport my dress from MN to Mexico for our wedding - IT WAS PERFECT!   I was actually able to pack 4 additional maxi dresses, and my husband's wedding attire, plus a few pairs of shoes and some jewelry. I packed the dress the night before we left, and just moments before we left, I zipped the bag and folded it - ready for travel. It comes up with a nice over-the-shoulder strap, making it really easy to carry through the airports. No issues on Delta with the bag as my carry-on - I chose to put in the overhead bin, but the flight attendant did offer to hang it in the closet for me. Once we got to the resort, about 10 hours after I first folded the bag, I unpacked the bag and my dress was perfect - no wrinkles! My dress was mostly lace and had a bit of a train, but it arrived perfectly!  Honestly, this is the best way to travel with your dress!
