Hi... I am getting married in Aruba at the Bucuti Resort on July 24, 2008. I can't wait!!!

I was a little dificult deciding on a site since everything in Aruba is so beautiful, but I am so happy we decided on the Bucuti. Nashette over there has been so helpful.

What are your plans for your Aruba wedding?

I am still trying to decide on types of flowers and to have either a DJ or Caribbean band and I am still up in the air about where we are going to have our welcome dinner. Hopefully we can help each other out.

Helllooooo!!

oh my God, i've been waiting for so long to find someone thats getting married in Aruba as well!!

The Bucuti looks lovely, we can't book that hotel as part of a package from the UK as we haven't been able to go to Aruba from the UK for very long. We went to Aruba last July and it was amazing!!

We have been dealing with Lorraine from Aruba Weddings based at the Tamarijn, shes been ok but we don't sem to be getting where we want to as far as a reception is concerned!!

it would be really good to stay in contact with someone who is going through the same thing as me, and hopefully we can help each other!! I'll PM you my email address

I am having bout 40-50 people at my wedding and originally I was thinking of having a band, but reciently I decided to go with a DJ. I wasn't crazy about how the bands sounded either and I figured you can't really go wrong with a DJ especially if I give them a list of songs to play. Here is a link so you can hear samples of the Equator Band: http://www.equatorband.com/

Hey Paulina...

We are getting married on July 24, 2008 and I haven't decided on a DJ yet, I am waiting to see if my WC can get me samples from different people, along with samples of bands too, just to hear the difference. I will let you know if she gets me any. For the ceremony we are going to have a steel pan player.

For photography we are using Paul VanDriel as our main photographer (who will be w/ me and the girls getting ready)and then we are also going to hire another photographer to shoot the guys getting ready and the guests as they arrive. I really want to have nice Lenox picture frames as favors so we can take great sunset pictures of each couple/family as they arrive and then I am going to send everyone their pictures once we get back home.

For the video we have booked George Jacobs, but now I am rethinking the whole wedding video thing. We were originally doing it b/c we planned to have a huge reception back home where we were going to do a wedding re-cap, but now we are just having everyone come to Aruba, so I don't know if we are still going to do the video. I think I might also get annoyed w/ someone following me around all day videotaping me LOL.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
