Gift from couple...who have now broken up!

Recommended Posts

A couple we invited to our wedding decided that half way into their trip they no longer wanted to be together because the prospects of some of our other wedding guests looked much better (ouch smile41.gif)...the thing is, they gave us a joint gift....so when I'm thanking them...what do I do? Send them each a card or just send a card to the one we invited to the wedding (the girlfriend was his +1, but she's still a friend)? Help this poor girl out...these thank you cards are going to give me an aneurysm hehe

hey melissa, that must have made for some juicy drama!

I think you should def send seperate thank you cards. She did travel all that way and most likely, she picked the gift. (men don't know how to handle these things, haha.)

It was an interesting situation LOL

Imagine sharing a room for half a week with someone who's just broken up with you because he's interested in not just one...but several other girls? He would so not be waking up in the morning if I were in her shoes :P

The really tough part was that the other girls he's interested in are all related to me and are all just as interested. Touchy :

i want to hear more juicy details...i say send a thank you to each one.

my drama was funny...we had a promiscious gal that tried to hook up with EVERYONE...married guys too...she made quite and impression...and one of the wives said "i am going to punch her lights out!" and the girl found out and spent the rest of the trip hiding in her room. smile36.gif

hee hee hee... that's a funny story Tammy! My friend's twin sister always tries to make out with all the guys whenever she gets really drunk. It's actually sort of hilarious... she really is a nice girl - just lonely I guess.

Anyway, I agree send a separate card to each. Wow, if I was that girl I would have murdered him... poor thing!

Def send out two cards. Poor girl that is awful. I would have died of embarassment. Gosh guys are such slime sometimes. He should have at least waited until they got back! He didn't need to humilate her like that in the middle of Mexico. Tammy if your peanut is a boy you better raise him to be nice to girls. LOL.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
