I'm not sure if you are looking for something close to the the strip. Queensridge is located about 15-20 min away from the strip.

All of the hotel/casino/resort in the area are practically giving away the rooms, because they are trying to attract visitors. The economy is hitting the strip hotels really hard. It all depends where you want to stay.

Just let me know.
Take care!

Thank you so much Susana, but I don't want to put you to any trouble. If you happen to get a little curious about the venue, I would LOVE to hear all about it. hug2.gif

As far as the head count, we are about 50 people. I really don't have a preference to on or off the strip, I just don't want it to look like a set wedding or backdrop (No offense to Vegas weddings). The online pictures of Emeralds look very nice...I love the long aisle with the fabric wrapped trees and lights...very picturesque. I hope I can plan a trip out to scout some locations and finalize a venue. I would like to go to the Bridal Show you and FoxyBride were talking about. Anyway, thank you so very much and any information that you can share is always appreciated.smile123.gif

No problem! I'm curious about that place, so I'll stop by to check it out sometime after the holidays and I'll let you know what I find out.

What you are looking for in a wedding is the same idea I had when I was planning on having my wedding here. Later my fiancee and I decided to make it into a DW to Mexico, since that's where he was born.

You'll find lots of alternatives in Vegas that don't have that set wedding or backdrop feeling. It all depends on your budget...

Check out the following places. They are similar to Queensridge

Welcome to The Ritz of Las Vegas
JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort, Golf and Spa Summerlin, Nevada
Anthem Country Club - Photo Gallery
Red Rock Country Club - Weddings & Special Events

This is the CC in my neighborhood. It's nice, but I know when I called for a quote it was so high that I immediatelly forgot!!! But it was so long ago that prices probably changed now... Las Vegas Golf Course Homes: Southern Highlands Golf Club & Community

BTW if you are ever in town and you need help getting around to look at venues. Please let me know... I love all this wedding stuff and since we are having ours in Mexico, I don't get to experience wedding planning at it's best.

Hello! I went to the Emerald at Queensridge today to check out the site and I was very impressed with the location and site. It has a great look. The area for ceremony is beautiful and it has a great view of the golf area with lots of palm tree. If you google the address in googlemaps 891 s rampart las vegas, nv, you can see an aerial view of the venue. The reception hall is also very impresive with a large staircase. I took pics with my new iphone, but I'm having trouble downloading the pics. If I'm able to figure out my phone I'll post the pictures doh.gif.

I must say, if I was getting married here in Vegas, the Emerald at Queensridge would be one of my top choices.

Thanks,
~Susana

Did they have any information about pricing? I've filled out the online request but I haven't heard back.

Wow! Thank you so much Susana for the information. The picture on the website look fabulous but you never can tell. I would love to see the pictures you took. Congrats on the new iPhone...I had the original iPhone and lost it or someone stole it during Christmas. I have to say, it made planning and gathering information for the wedding so easy. There is actually a wedding planning application on there. I was sick for 2 days when it went missing because picture of dresses, cakes, flowers just about everything was on there. Santa FI got me a new one for Christmas, so I'm back in business

My favorite part is the bride's room. It rocks... It has I think two bathrooms, huge area like a salon, balcony and large three way mirrors

Groom's room is downstairs... It has bathroom, mounted plasma TV, PS3 and can be access via a back entrance. People were meetting in there so I could take good enough pics.

The guy in this pic is the owner. He is very nice and he gave me a tour of the facility.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
