This is such a wonderful contest and perfect theme…

 

I am going to take this from a more personal perspective and write this like I am trying to put into words to my amazing Fh how I feel about him.

 

**The words I love you could never adequately describe how I feel about you.

 

Our love is like the ocean, a constant that is always there. It is a beautifully changing adventure that is filled with new discoveries when I wake up eagerly every morning to dive in. Starting our lives together on the beach, paying tribute to the waves … there is no better place to celebrate our commitment.

 

When I am with you and look into your deep, warm eyes; I feel like I am home. When we met, I couldn’t even fathom what home felt like anymore; you saved me from the darkest place I have ever known and bestowed to me your amazing light.

 

You know the worse things about me and that’s okay; because I know the worse things about you … and that’s okay too. We laugh together harder than anyone I have ever laughed with; and that makes the times we cry even more poignant.

 

You challenge me more than anyone I have ever met and I know I challenge you too… and to steal one of your favorite quotes you always say to me from The Notebook “Well that's what we do, we fight... You tell me when I am being an arrogant son of a bitch and I tell you when you are a pain in the ass. Which you are, 99% of the time. I'm not afraid `to hurt your feelings. You have like a 2 second rebound rate, then you're back doing the next pain-in-the-ass thing. So it's not gonna be easy. It's gonna be really hard. We're gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, for ever, you and me, every day.â€

 

I have never known peace like I do with you; never known passion could be so exhilarating; never known the excitement I feel when I make you smile, the sadness I feel when you frown; the contentment of having a true partner to live with, but not live for; and the camaraderie of having a true best friend, someone who is in every way my equal and other half. **

 

We are getting married at sunset on the glowing beaches of Dreams Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic on August 5, 2009.

Hmm.. now that I have written this - it may work for my vows. LOL! =)

This is such a great contest- thanks for doing this! Our wedding is April 26, 2009 at the Grand Mayan Resort in Acapulco, Mexico!

I just got off the phone with Amy and Octavio and when I told Amy she was the winner of the contest, the ENTIRE household went crazy! I thought my ear was going to explode! :)

My girlfriend (Grit) and I are SO stoked to be able to meet you guys and be a part of your amazing day! I am looking forward to getting everything sorted out with you in the weeks and months to come!

Thank you so much to everyone who entered the contest, you were all very deserving of this and so much more. I have printed out all of your "REAL LOVE" answers and put them by my computer so I can see it every day!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
