Hi, could someone let me know what plug adaptors we need please.I know it's 2 pin but are they round or flat pins. Also does anyone know if the hairdryers in the rooms are very powerful.

Jamaica has the same outlets as the USA and Canada. I don't believe we actually plugged anything in so I cannot comment as to whether there is the 3rd ground prong. There is definitely 2 flat prongs though. I used the resort's hair dryer with no problems and I had long, thick hair. I found it didn't matter though because it was so humid my hair would just get wavy and rather big anyway! Thank goodness for ponytails!

RMB's outlets work for the 2 prng but not ground, but really what would you take with you that needs a ground It would have to be something that uses lots of electricity. One thing that I wish I would have taken though is an extension cord because when we were doing our hair we only had one outlet in the bathroom and one by the mini bar and one other one so we had to keep moving the curling irons and flat irons around. Just a suggestions!

Thank you for that super fantastic idea. I never would have thought about an extension cord

Thanks for the info, here in the UK we use 3 pin plugs. Thats a good idea about the extension cable. Thanks again. x

I found this website that has pictures of the outlets that they use in Jamaica. Hope this helps!

Same adapters as the US so you wont need anything. Just keep in mind if you difuse your hair like I do. You most likely will have to bring your own hairdryer! There is an outlet in the bathroom and also right next to the mini bar in the room. Those are the most convenient outlets.

                Hope the info helps!!
