We are staying at Melia Caribe Tropical

Our guests from St. John's, Newfoundland = $1690 per person taxes included based on double

Toronto guests = $1450 per person taxes included based on double

And for Edmonton guests we are still trying to figure that out to get the cheapest price. That's where myself and fiancé are flying out of too. Land only rate is $940 so the travel agent is trying to price up airline.

These prices are based on 7 day accommodations.

I think we got a good price for everyone.

And we are with Air Transat

Our guests are paying $1575 pp/dbl occ and 1860 pp/socc I wanted our guests to pay under 1500 per person. It was hard finding a resort within our price range.

We went with gran Bahia principe Coba in Mayan Riveria jan 18-21 with air Canada vacations

I'm glad to hear you say this, I'm hoping to keep my guest costs around $1400, and we're hoping to go with this resort in Nov 2015, so it will be low season.

We booked with 9 months to go and it was 1700 PP from Edmonton (the trip itself was 1298.. taxes were 400, YIKES!)

However, there were quite a few weddings booked when we booked and the plane was running out of seats so there you go.

The fiancé and I ended up getting two weeks for two people for 4198.00 but with every 12th person free, our trip will end up costing us 2800 for two weeks for two people :)

Are you really only going from the 18-21 or was that a typo?

I priced the Coba for the 18-25 and the prices were WAY higher!! lucky girl :)

I was booked for 18-25, but Air Canada changed us to 17-24, but from Calgary we are paying $1565 PP and out of Toronto $1465.  They also gave us awesome rates to get the guests to either of these cities who lived elsewhere.   We also get every 17th person free, so hope to get 2!

Kids were around $971, and single bookings $1711/$1611 respectively.

I think with my family of 4 we paid $5066.. eek!

Our wedding is in the height of high season (feb 29) so 7 nights flight, accommodation and transfers is costing our guests $1785 plus tax ($150 because of a sale we locked with sunwing)... So basically $2000 for the basic luxury jacuzzi suite at Azul Sensatori. Family Suites are a bit more. Only $200 surcharge for single supplements and kids were about 55% of adult rate. We really didn't want to go over $2000pp... But with high season and a five star resort we are happy.

It was about $300 cheaper out of YYZ but this rate was for direct from YYC and YVR. Now it's just my job to plan a fantastic week where they feel as spoiled and loved as we do with them using their holidays with us.

We're just before high holiday season - December 14-21, 2014 at Beach Palace in Cancun

Our double occupancy rate is $1770 all in before any discounts applied from Toronto direct to Cancun through Air Canada for one week. We get every 11th adult free, and I think we will have 3 that we're going to apply back to make everyone's rate lower. Should be around 1650-1700ish after. We have some people staying just 5 nights and it's about 100 less

Our rate is a bit higher than we wanted guests to pay, but we think it's worth it because it's a beautiful hotel right on the main strip with a fantastic beach. Also, our guests will get $1500 credit per room to use on golf, tours, spa, upgrades, etc. That was a big selling point for us

It's funny because we get every 17th free, but some AC ladies on here get every 11th.  When I was on Expedia looking at our resort with AC, it mentioned both.  Oh well, if our numbers stand we get 2 free, but should definitely get 1.    Wonder if it is because of other bonus' ? I also get upgraded to first class.   Right now our rates are over $200 cheaper than anything listed so that just makes me happy, so my guests know they got a good deal.

Were traveling in August and for the basic room out of Calgary for 7 days is $1700. The trip itself is $1300 but then we need to add $400 in taxes, which is a lot! My fiancé and I are splurging in the more expensive room and we're paying $1900 each, taxes included

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
