Hello!

We are planning on having a dinner and night out in PV the night before the wedding. Our resort is located in Nuevo Vallarta and we are planning on hiring a bus to transport 20-25 people from NV to PV (one way only).

Have anyone dealt with someone or is planning on doing something similar?

Any recommendations or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

We are planning on doing the same thing for our wedding weekend...20-25, nuevo to puerto but going to a nightclub or something one night.

I have some links to a couple transportation places in PV (saved of course on my computer at home, and i am at work now). but I will post those links here later tonight. Also I am going to PV this weekend and was going to set up some transportion for this weekend to sort of "check out the company" and see if I want to use them again in April. When I get back next week I can fill you on how it all went

Ohh! Thanks so much Andi. I'll wait for that info and your feedback from your trip.

Do you already know what nightclub you guys may go to?

So how's the rest of your planning coming along. That's great that you have the opportunity to go to area prior to the wedding!!!

Thanks again!

Susana

For hiring a bus check with your wedding coordinator. Kristin from dazzling details was able to provide me with cost and different kinds of transportation....

Also check out if it is just cheaper to hire a driver and rent 2 vans. We found that to be the best way to go when I was there. It was a total of $180 for the night vs. $600 for a bus with a/c

Kathy: Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to research that option. I got the following quote from Creating Weddings, but I'm not sure what to think about the prices quoted....

One way bus service from Dreams Villamagna (Nuevo Vallarta) to PV (Downtown area) $385usd

One way van service (up to 8 people) from Dreams Villamagna (Nuevo Vallarta) to PV (Downtown area) $90usd each (VIP service - including: softdrinks, water and beer + bilingual driver).

The second one is most def out of the question.

Something to keep in mind also is that the streets in the Malecon are quite small and buses do not fit. We rented a bus for the wedding party (one way back from the ceremony to the reception) and it had to pick us up a few blocks away from the the Cathedral. We couldn't remember the name of the street and got lost- and it began POURING! Luckily a jeweler let us in his shop while my new hubby and GM got drenched looking for the bus.

Anyhow, my point is that there are a ton of van cabs in PV and that is a great cheap option.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
