We couldn't remember the name of the street and got lost- and it began POURING! Luckily a jeweler let us in his shop while my new hubby and GM got drenched looking for the bus.

Anyhow, my point is that there are a ton of van cabs in PV and that is a great cheap option.
Thanks Amy! I completely agree. After getting a few quotes with "gringo" prices, I decided to play by ear and not over think it. Since, we are planning on getting there a few days before all our guest, we'll try to hire/rent a couple of vans or make friends with van cabs drivers (work my charm smile72.gif) to try to get a good deal...

Thanks,
~Susana

Hi all, the wedding at Le Kliff was this last weekend, 5-22-2009.

We used the reference for Superior Tours that was posted on this thread. They were GREAT!!!!! and the price was very reasonable with each 3 vans costing $100 each , for 10 persons, to Le Kliff , which was an hour away and back. The start time was 4 pm for the first group of 10, and they stayed and waited for us to leave at 11 pm.

We also used them to pick up all the guests arriving at all kinds of times at the airport, they were just a dream to work and coordinate with.

We are coming down in November and I have 75 people to transport from Nuevo Vallarta (Dreams) to downtown for our welcome dinner. We have hired 2 buses through Puerto Vallarta Tours at $8 USD per person roundtrip (Raul's email: admin@puertovallartatoursguide.com)

and yes - others are correct that the streets are narrow. We actually have to get off the bus and walk an additional 4 blocks to where we need to be but it is way more fun and cheap to keep everyone together on 2 buses! Good luck!

This is exactly the type of info I was looking for myself! I'll be looking into all the van/bus rental companies that were recommended.

What about nightclubs? Someone recommended Mandala - any others? We are planning on continuing our party once the Villa rules force us to quiet down at 11pm!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
