You have to get a price from Tai flora for flowers, if you are not using the standard included. You will get a credit toward your purchase since you won't use the included. To rent a private space( I am renting Posidon the beach cafe) it's $300, otherwise the a la cartes are free if you don't mind other guest being in there? Your menu you will be determined depending on your package, I am doing the caribbean pakg and just found out No lobster so I will serve prawns! It's funny we are transfering to Iberostar GRAND for an additional week 'honeymoon' after the wedding, they still have lobster? Guess they have it frozen? Oh well my party is small, but i feel for you whom did menus already. this is actually a vow renewal, we are doing the big church service and traditional reception NEXT WEEKENd OMG! With the economy I knew many family members would not be able to attend I and my soon to be mother in law loves big out of control traditional eventssmile29.gif I love Jamaica it will be magical for all of us!! Its awsome so many of you have so many guest able to come!! After trying to plan these two events I'm just letting it all work out relax enjoy Woo hoo JAmAICa

Hi all,

We are getting married June 29, 2009, and I feel very behind dizzy.gif. We had to switch from Mexico last minute and now starting over. I have been in contact with Jascynthia but only to confirm the date and have her email me the packages, flowers, etc. I have not heard from her since and am a little nervous. Maybe some of you can help me with some questions.

We are a small group, 14, maybe 16. We chose the Caribbean package because of the dinner at the blue lagoon, that seemed like the best option for us to have a reception, any comments other ideas?? Does anyone know when you have to choose the menu by? I haven't even been sent options yet.

Has anyone used the hotel photographer? and do you have any sample you can share, or their website? Otherwise I'm not sure what to do about that.

What needs to be sent to Jascynthia for the marriage certificate? I know certified copies of both birth certificates, but can we send copies of our licenses/passports? and is that all that needs to be sent? Do I fed ex this stuff directly to Jascynthia and the Resort?

Thanks for any help you can give!

Dana

You may use any package you wish it just won't be 'legal' personally I don't think it's worth the extra $. If you do the standard renewal you can pick and choose what's important to you, a la carte, instead of paying for a fruit plate n stuff like that? To late for me now but ... If those things are important change your pkg.

Does anyone know if your dress is considered a carry on?

You just have to submit the menu choices 2 weeks before the wedding. Be careful to ask them whether your choice is truly available-- I selected the grilled lobster tail entree and they are trying to switch it to shrimp 2 weeks before the wedding. (Frustrating, since I sent out meal choices on our RSVPs, and I had menus printed!)

And we sent Jascynthia our birth certificates & drivers licenses 30 days beforehand.

Hi ladies,

I am another Mexico Bride switching to the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton last minute. I have yet to look at all the menu options, and whatnot. I'm a bit stressed out with this last minute switch.

I have not emailed with the WC yet either. we just got confirmation today from our TA of the switch. Oy!!!

If anyone has any info they can share that would be great. What's the most important thing I should confirm with the WC first?

Thank you

We were planning for the last 2 months to get married at the Grand Palladium this October, not to deter anyone from their plans, but in our experience, we found it frustratingly impossible to get a response from Jascynthia.

After we got the standard automatic email, we emailed constantly for 3 weeks just to get her to tell us what dates she had available in Oct and eventually had to call and get her on the phone. Her answer to all our other questions about the details was always "I don't know..."

Our Travel Agent even called the General Manager for us, who was to call us back personally and never did. In the end it felt like they didn't want us, or our group of 50, and we foresaw problems like this ahead that we didn't need, so we've decided to go to the RIU Ocho Rios instead, they offer free wedding packages and have a reputation for fantastic weddings.

Just my 2 cents!

Thanks Petals. when you sent your document over, did you send copies of your drivers licenses? I know the birth certificates have to be certified copies, but do the licenses have to be the real deal? I did read not to expect to have anything returned.

thanks! dana

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
