HELP Grand Palladium Brides!!!!

Hi everyone!

I just got married yesterday at the Palladium on the beach. It was awesome, and I can say that Jascynthia is wonderful ... I was stressed because I didn't have anything selected when we arrived on Friday. No meals, no flowers, no cake! (okay, we had them selected, but she never got my emails - so we had to go through it all over again!)

The Blue Lagoon is large. Our group is only 13, but it worked out well and the setting was in a U shape looking towards the restaurant (not towards the ocean). This works out well for the pictures, meaning the background is much nicer.

We are still here, so I should get going and spend more time with our guests! But I can say that this resort, and the wedding was waaaay more than I thought it would be! We are so pleasantly surprised and Happy with how it all worked out.

By the way, after the Blue Lagoon reception, your guests can go to the lounge above the Blue Lagoon and dance with the live band or just hang out in the open air.

I have pics, but I'll have to post them when we get back in another week and a half.

Oh, didn't see the question about flowers. We chose from the package, but I had specifically asked for orange and green (as those were our colours). Apparently, Jascynthia did not like the arrangement that was provided for my bouquet and boutinere, so she sent them back and got us orange-ish calla lillies (way more in price, but didn't charge us for them - she wanted us to be happy!)

I can tell you that if your party is really small - we just picked a few fresh flowers and came equiped with floral tape, scissors, floral wire and make our own. We didn't go crazy, just the boutinere's and Matron of Honor's.

The flower arrangments that are used at the ceremony are then transferred to the reception as part of the decoration. Jascynthia does all of that.

Hope that helpeda little! Now I really gotta go, they're waiting for me at the lounge!!!

Petals

We have one vegetarian and not sure what she will receive.

Children under 12 have same menu choices as adults......however, they are accommodating one picky child with a special request not on our menu. They seem a little flexible.

I can't believe how time is flying by! We leave in 11 days! UGH!!!!!!!!!

Time for a drink shots.gif I'm finally getting a bit nervous!

Anybody have a list of "Must Haves" meaning absolute necessities we must not forget to take to Jamaica for the wedding? I feel like I'm forgetting something important, but it is Jamaica so I guess we will just wing it!

Snow Angels....CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Ladies!!

My name is STacey and I am the "other" April bride! Im leaving this saturday!

I have had no luck with emails from Jascynthia, I guess Ill deal with things when I arrive. We had picked the Tropical package as well, ($30/pp) and we are just going to dine in the buffet. There are 40 of us, and I was under the impression that that was too many to accomodate in any a la carte without paying another fee, so we took the easy route. We will have our own section set aside, that way we can eat whatever we feel like, and not feel rushed out.

We have no plan for after, I'd rather see where the night takes us! We'll bar hop. We did however inquire as to whether or not we could have a bonfire lit for us afterwards, still waiting to hear back. We wanted something similar to the beach bbq night on fridays, our wedding is on thurs.

We are getting married on the beach, this whole "sand ceremony" thing I hadn't heard of so I don't think we are doing that?!

My best friend's husband is bringing his guitar to sing me down the aisle, hence why we would like a bonfire for later, as one of our favorite things to do is sit around a fire and sing!!!

I don't have any other info on the private receptions/music as we aren't going to worry about this.

I chose the tropical flowers for my bouquet as well, and my dress is the turquoise one (ill post it under)

I will def post pics for all of you when I return!

Reserved the same. 58 of us!! It is private! They do NOT serve dinner there in the evening. That's why we are paying the $300 for extra staff and service! My wedding is in 2 weeks so I'll post if it is something different.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
