Snow Angels, if it makes you feel any better, I'm in the same boat as yours. I do not have answers to these questions either. Haven't even heard the word cake from her yet. Funny thing is, my parents are going today and so I had to do up itineraries for all of our guests, so I'm hoping all of my unconfirmed arrangements are ok with respect to times and meals etc. Maybe I'll see you there. looks like you get married on the Monday, and I'm getting married on the wednesday. PS. I agree that they should approach their weddings the way that you suggested.

The communication is nonexistent so we all must put our "no worries" attitude forward and keep updating each other. I did find out if you are requesting special menus such as filet and lobster for the Caribbean package......you must let them know the final count 1 month in advance! I leave in 20 days and haven't received any type of verification.shots.gif

I'm understanding you meet with Jascynthia when you arrive to discuss flowers, cake, etc.....takes an hour

Anyone got info on group tours? Ziplining, Dunns River, etc?

No tables though

Hi Ladies, I am not a GP bride but I saw this great special and thought it might help aout some last minute wedding travelers to the wedding. (There is always a last minute straggler or two it seems). The deal is air and hotel at either the GP or GP Lady h. This is the link: Caribbean Vacations and Caribbean Vacation Specials | Travelzoo. I hope this helps someone!

To fieldofflowers - I'm getting married April 10 2010 at GP Lady Hamilton so we will be on the same schedule of booking things. I've had my date confirmed and booked my package (Caribbean) - I recieved an email back from Jacinythia with that confirmation. I'm working with a TA that only does DW that has been helping me with all of this. Let me know if you need any help.

I am not a GP bride, but I was there in Feb. The Canapy Tour was awesome, it seemed much safer than the Zipline Adventure. Chukka tours Ocean Safari not worth the money (not a good spot for snorkeling). The Dunn's River trip is a long drive, but you cannot go to Jamaica without doing this; ours came with a complementary trip to Negril to shop and go to Rick's cafe.
Hope this helps!

I am getting married at the Grand Palladium in November. I am trying to find someone who has been married there recently and has pictures of the blue lagoon reception set-up (tables, chairs, head table, decor, etc..) I tried sending Caroline a private message but her mailbox is full? Does anyone keep in touch with her outside the forum or can anyone send me pictures of the set-up if you have any?

Hoping someone can help,

TashaB

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
