HELP Grand Palladium Brides!!!!

I'm getting married in November and decided to go with the Sapphire package (I was originally going to go with the Waves of Love).  I've been working with Tai Flora directly and doing upgraded reception flowers (lots!) and centrepieces for my reception at Blue Lagoon and the price worked out more favourably than going with the Waves of Love and doing upgraded centrepieces, linens, etc. I'm getting exactly what I want, instead of making it work.  I'm probably going to just take down chair sashes in my colour and my favours.

I struggled with my decision but ended up going with the package that suited my vision.  I also knew that we probably wouldn't use the extras included in the other package like parasols and breakfast :)

Good luck picking!

Thanks for all your input Ladies :)

Is Tai Flora the Flower Shop that the Grand Palladium deals with?  Have you seen what the Sapphire package looks like?  I'm just looking at making the ceremony really pretty since I'm not having a private reception.  I wonder if, I get my own flower from Tai Flora, I can bring them in to the restaurant we decide to have the supper at?  Now you have me thinking...lol

Thanks for the input.

:)

Wow your wedding is soon approaching...How exciting!!!!

What I meant by "does Grand Palladium deal with this Florist" was. do they have a problem with them coming onto the resort to decorate?  Do you have to pay for a day pass?  If that's the route I decide to take, do I figure it out with my WC?  How did you communicate with Tai Flora?  So many questions..LOL

Tai Flora is the official flower shop for GP, so no vendor fee and no problems.  Highly suggest working with them because they will give you a better price compared to what GP will quote you.  I worked with Sandy Shippey (sshippey@taiflora.com) from Tai Flora and she was wonderful and quick to respond.

On if they will move your ceremony flowers to the restaurant... I'm pretty sure they will, but that's definitely a question for your WC.  I know they would have if you had a private reception, but unsure what they allow at the restaurants.

It worked out cheaper for me personally, as the centrepieces were not outrageous ($40 vs. $125 at the resort).  I'm not having to work around the resort at all.  I asked Natalie about additional flowers and upgrading my bouquet, corsages etc. and she told me to work directly with Tai Flora (I'm working with Sandy Shippey).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
