After the festivities

Recommended Posts

So, my soon to be husband and I are getting married on 12/28. We are going to be surrounded by people from 12/24-12/31 with the exception of 12/29 when he wants to just chill with me. (I am going to try to put together a little TTD with my young cousin who is kind of an up and coming photog - at 19 he has already shot for magazines). Anyway, on 1/1 we are checking out of our place in PV and driving 45 minutes north to San Pancho (San Francisco) which is a sleepy little fishing village and very remote. We are just staying there for 3 nights, but thought it would be the perfect, relaxing end to everything. The beaches are gorgeous, its quiet, and we are staying in beachfront bungalows. And BTW, dirt cheap. I think during the high season it is costing us $150 per night!!!

Check it out, it has nothing but good reviews on trip advisor! Just an idea for decompressing after the family and friends leave...

Waaahhh! I'm crying because we should have done this! This place looks SO charming! You guys will have a wonderful time and will absolutely love your time away from the guests.

It looks amazing and some place I want to check out when we go back to PV. I am in love with it!

Im here now and oh my god I think this is the most remote, beautiful place ever. Hubby and I actually skinny dipped today because there is NO ONE around. Well a few other visitors, but way down the private beach.

Our camera stopped working, but we might buy a disposable one, so we can accuarately depict this place. We are in the panorama suite. Its tiny where you sleep, but the kitchenette is outside on the gorgeous terrace, and we just so happy here.

Its kind of rustic tho...like many places in Mx, including Las Caletas, you cant flush tp so DH and I were kind of grossed out at first, but its fine, and really common outside of PV. Even in downtown pv some bars and restaurants had this.

so far, I really recommend this. There are a million places to stay here in san pancho (tho I dont know how you rent them since I dont know where they are online, but this one is the most remote and furthest away.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
