Hi, Ladies,

Have any of your shipped stuff to Oahu? I have a ton of things to take and I'm thinking about shipping it to my WC. I've been searching for cost effective ways to ship my items there but I haven't found much.

I'm looking to ship about 100 chargers, 100 fans, 90 parasols, and other misc. things. Any and all help is welcome. Thanks in advance.

hey! i shipped about 9 boxes of stuff to HI (Big Island) from the East Coast.

my recommendation is to send everything USPS parcel post (the cheapest way) just make sure to bring it boxed and sealed with plain clear tape to the post office - the only boxing / tape they have for free is the Priority Mail and that is much more expensive.

I think it cost us about $100 to ship everything ( a lot of stuff) and it was SOOO WORTH it!

hawaii is a bargain to ship too. I've only mailed letters, but they are the standard rate of 47cents. same for alaska. I thought there would be an additional fee.

when i was spending so much on postage to send out wedding invites, I felt like I really for my money's worth for the hawaii & alaska ones.

not sure if it's the same for packages.

most of the boxes were small and packed tight but we had 2 larger ones b/c of their contents, we packed them for shipping with newspaper or peanuts. i used the smallest possible boxes to consolidate and make it easier for our WC to store everything!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
