Funny question to those who have been to Cabo...

This is for all you ladies who have already been to Cabo. Is it humid there? My sis and I are very concerned about our hair---I know that sounds silly but I have a feeling many of you understand where I am coming from. We just want to know if we will be able to wear our hair down or if it will need to be put up due to the humidity! Thanks to all

I've been in Cabo in Feb, April, and in May...those months are hot but not humid. Never been in Aug. but I'm going this July 26th close to Aug...so I'll let you know if it is. I don't think it's humid like Cancun but I have heard that it is extremely hot.

This is what I LOVE about Cabo...the humidity is not bad. It is comprable to Arizona...which is a very DRY heat. There is of course a bit of humidity because it is near the ocean, but the humidity is relatively low. Cabo is desert landscape...not the thick jungles that you find in Cancun, Puerta Vallarta, Hawaii, etc. Trust me this was abig concern for me, as I have natural VERY curly hair!

Well, August is the height of hurricane season so, yes, you can expect it to be humid. If you put your hair up, though, you should be fine.

I totally agree with Natasha. The humidity will be much higher in August because of hurricane season. We were there last August & it was REALLY humid.

 

I'm also concerned about my hair, so I'm going to do a trial run with my hairdresser here in late July (when it's also ridiculously hot & humid in TX).

I was there last August (early August) and it wasn't humid until a storm began to come in....then of course, it was humid.

That's a good point, I didn't see that you were getting married in August... But it is pretty hot in August...and prob pretty humid too. Ivpbride...you said that August is hurricane season...any one know what other months are considered hurricane season??

I've been to Cabo in March, July & December. July was extremely humid the year I was there - like rediculous! My hair was a mess...HOWEVER, I talked to locals about this while we were there for the wedding & they say that is unusaul. I think you should expect moderate humidity. Honestly, I would recommend going w/an updo so you don't have to worry about your hair.

According to an insurance newsletter I receive at work...

Seventeen named storms will form in the Atlantic basin between June 1 and November 30, and nine will become hurricanes, predicts Colorado State University's Tropical Meteorology Department.

 

So, I would say that hurricane season is from June through November... then again, Cabo is on the Pacific Ocean... so maybe I'm just rambling.

I was wondering when Hurricane season was! Thanks for that. There is no fighting the humidity!! I have decided that my hair is going to be pulled back when I am in Costa Rica. Sorry I am not a Cabo bride. But I like to read what all you Mexico brides are doing.
