Ocean Turquesa & Coral Brides?

Recommended Posts

Michelle,

I KNOW...  it takes some times to get some answer from Ana.  She told me it would be extra to have the diner on the terrasse, so we are going to have it in the Carrebean restaurant which will be beside the open area so almost outside...  We are having the reception on the terrasse which was an extra as well but I manage to negociate it a little bit lower for 3 hours...  If you need some decorations...  I will have quit a bit of Ivory ribbon and stuff...  I could leave it with Ana for you if she wants to do something with it.  I am bringing some candles too but thats about it.  I do have the welcome bags as well and our Favors are littles jars with a personalised sticker on it and a bow in Tule and we will pour some of our sand ceremony in it along with the beach sand as a souvenir...

My dress is Ivory strapless and has some kind of folding till low waist and is bigger in the bottom...  hard to explain and I have a veil double layers with a lace border...  And my kids will be soo cute too cheesy.gif

For sure 60 some guess is a lot to do a lot of things, but at the same time the memories of the group will be incredible...!  Cant wait to meet you!  Got to go back to my studies smile105.gif

Hi Katie,

I have a question for you...  Did you get any paper work done before the wedding?  Ana asked us to fill one form with our informations as well as our parents and witnesses informations but thats about it!?!  DO our witnesses need their birth certificat as well?  Is there anything else I should know or do by now...  we are at one month before leaving...  33 days!!!

Thanks for all the informations you have shared!

Hi Lise,

I got married in PDC in February at 4:30 pm and actually wished i had done it at 5pm as the sun was still really bright at that time so i was squinting in my photo's alot.  We had pictures from 5pm-6pm and the sun started to set close to six so we got some gorgeous photo's.  You can find info here http://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/MMUN/2010/4/11/MonthlyHistory.html  for the sunrise and sunset times that happened this past year to get an idea of what would work for you.

Good luck and happy planning!

Hi Michelle and Nadia,

I remember the countdown craziness!  It does get a little hectic leading up to the trip but don't worry, once you get there your troubles will melt away!  As much as you are not loving this part...enjoy every minute of it, because your wedding will be over so fast!!!  It's crazy!  I miss being a bride sad.gif

Looking forward to possibly meeting you both and of course...MEXICO!!!  Countdown is on!

Happy planning, ladies!

Hi Michelle,

That sucks that Ana isn't quick to respond.  Hopefully she'll be much more helpful in person!

Yes, my hubby is super excited too!  We weren't thinking we were going to get our Honeymoon this year, but I got an unexpected bonus from work and we already had this week booked off from work, together...so away we go!  The first thing we both said when I found out was "Mexico!" We are flying out of Vancouver with Air Transat on Nov.8th.

I'm glad I could assist in keeping things cheerful for ya!  It is going to be so awesome for you to have your wedding there!  We are bringing a floaty chair, that we took with us for our wedding and had fun with it in the pools.  Also, make sure you bring bug spray!  When we were at Turquesa in 2008 we brought some and were glad we did.  It just gets a little buggy at night.  Also, in case you are doing any excursions, bring some ziplock bags with you so you can pack some food with you, from the buffet.  We saw people doing that last time we were there and I thought that was clever.  And of course, something to cover up with at night when it gets chilly.  I'm not sure if you've been to Mexico or to the Resort before, so you might already know all this.  If I think of anything else, wedding related, I will let you know!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
