Just wondering if anyone has done this and/or how it went. My dress is all satin. Any suggestions?
Thanks- Brooke
Hi Brooke, sorry I am of no help with this question, I would feel the same way about leaving my dress with someone to take it to a different resort... hopefully someone on this thread has ideas, or maybe somewhere in this forum?
Your wedding date is coming up so fast! Have an amazing time and let us know how it goes :)

hey there all...

I am in the process of changing my wedding location - we are currently booked for 2 weeks at the Azul Sensatori and 7 May 2010 as our wedding date - and we really like the look of Ocean Coral.

Can somebody (who either is or has got married there) give me a little overview?

Our reason for changing is the high cost of the wedding package at AS as well as lots of costs on top for the huge amount of things not included. So before changing, I just want to know what I'm dealing with!

Thanks in advance for any help/info you give me.

thanks Jenni!

The cost is exactly why we can't get married there or stay there, and why we are now looking to change.

This hotel looks like much better value for money, and i don't mind paying for the extras for the wedding if i'm not already paying extortinate prices for the wedding package to start with!

Hope some people here can put my mind at rest!!

Hi Katie, welcome to the OCT thread! Yes that's the main reason chose this resort, for the value... we initially wanted to have our wedding at a resort right in Playa but it was way too expensive and our guests started freaking out... anyway, hopefully this resort will satisfy our guests (crossing my fingers!)

Ana the wedding coordinator has been pretty helpful so far (via email) and from what I hear she is excellent once youre down there!

Are you flying with Transat by any chance? They have some good deals with wedding packages, worth checking out.

Happy planning!

Hey BC, thanks for the message :o)

Ana was being good, and I'm hoping still is...just haven't had a reply to her when we've mailed to ask how we go about paying for our wedding package! We just want to get one booked so we can start getting things sorted and I feel happier!

We're flying with Thomson/First Choice (UK travel agent) as I am English...so unfortunately we don't benefit from all these fab packages you USA lot seem to get!

What kind of wedding package deals do you get? I'm intrigued now!!

Hey Katie! I haven't been on here in a while but I see we are getting married the same week! :) We are having our wedding on May 10 2010! Arriving on the 7th of May! Congrats! I'm in the process of emailing Ana as well...don't worry, she is slow at responding to eveything. Good luck :) And hopefully we can help each other out with any tips / deals /ideas we find!!

Hey Krystal!

How cool! I've found a bride sister (nearly!) :o) congrats to you too.

You'll be arriving on my wedding day! How long are you staying at the resort for? we're there from the 2nd - 16th.

Yeah Ana takes a few days...I'll feel less anxious when we actually have some wedding stuff sorted! Which package did you go with in the end?

And defo...I'll let you know if/when I find anything out!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
