I would do the actual invitation once you have your date set.

AnaS thanks so much! It really helps to know that.

Hey Girls !!!!

I just went through allll the posts , took me a while but worth it :) I was suposed to get married in Punta Cana Nov. 2012 but after speaking with my TA, we decided to switch places. So I am waiting on them to confirm my wedding date in November. I see there is already a bride confirmed on the 8th, the day we wanted so hopefully I will get the 7th or 9th.  I keep reading Ana is slow in responding, hope she won't be on confirming a wedding date or i'll be calling her !!!

I presume they only have one wedding per day ??

reception at the resturant villa Marina, how does it work for seating ¾¾ can we still have round tables even though it's semi-private ?? can we put center pieces ??

Hi Andrea, I feel so bad that we have our wedding booked the day that you wanted obviously it is to late for us to switch our date as most our guests are already booked and invites are sent out and deposits and down, photographer booked. I'm hoping that the resort doesn't allow more than one wedding a day as this may cause problems with booking time in the spa, having Ana and Karens full attention and god forbide if it's not a nice day then we may have issues with the back up options. I do hope you here back from Ana soon regarding the other dates. As well not sure what your colors are but we are doing fuschia and bright orange and we are brinining some linens and decorations with us we would be more than happy to let you guys borrow anything that would help you out if you end up having your wedding after ours. This sounds like a wonderful resort and I can't wait to get married here, wishing you all the best in your planning.

Hello jdavidso !!

ohhh don't feel bad I still got tuesday or wednesday or even friday :) I am actually booked at an other hotel since Nov. 2011 but my super TA omitted on telling me certain things so now I have to start all over grrrrr !!! So now I'm running late on booking because of her. Anyways I also hope it's only one wedding per day, so you can get there full attention.

Thanks for the deco, but for now I'm doing peach and yellow :) ohhhh I can't wait and hope everything works out !! How many people are you expecting ??

Since it's symbolic, do they still want us there a certain number of days before the wedding ??

Andrea that is to bad about the issues with your TA we have 30 guests confirmed so far and are thinking at least another 10 will book for sure. We are doing legal so we need to be there a few days early I think if your doing symbolic you don't need to be there any specific amount of time prior. Honestly all the reviews about this hotel make me so happy we chose this resort we are moving to El Dorado for our honeymoon week right after our wedding week and so looking forward to both hotels. Ana is great takes her awhile to get back to you but I always get the response I'm looking for. I'm doing some DIY projects and have gotten some great deals on invites ect so if you need anything don't feel shy to ask I'm willing to help or advise any way I can.

@ JCP62212, I think we had about 6-8 lanterns in total. I can't say for sure as my mom was in charge of them and brought the all down for me and gave them to Ana. She also bought them for me, and just picked them up at various places along the way throughout the last year as we were planning, sorry I don't have one great suggestion about where to get them from. We didn't have any lights for them, they just looked great hanging up. We did bring down some fishing twine type of material to hang them, however I think if we didn't have that material they would have gotten them hung up just fine.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
